Rather than attaching a definitive message to his work, Harvey Bigg (@140.bigg) remains focused on the act of making itself. Even after wrapping up four years of study and two runway shows, for him, finishing one project means starting another: “If this course and making this collection have proven anything to me, it’s that making clothes is like an addiction rather than a want to make,” the menswear designer tells @H_Nicholson over an early morning call. Another academic year in the bag! A special one. To my very first first years, you have been a part of my CSM journey from the very beginning. From watching some of you use a sewing machine for the very first time to now creating full-blown collections. I am so proud!! You will be truly missed. Even though the @bafcsm 2026 show closed a few days ago, there are still looks I can’t stop thinking about. I’ve been reflecting on why the CSM graduate show stays with me much longer than other fashion shows. Perhaps it’s because I’m witnessing the very first collections of emerging designers. CSM is known for producing prominent designers—from @jgalliano to @AlexanderMcQueen—who have presented their debut collections on its runway. Through fashion, these designers express their backgrounds, cultures, and the messages they wish to convey—expressing personal narratives into fashion. @_manabouttownuk on BA Fashion Design: Menswear and BA Fashion Design: Communication @ike.rust @stephaniecoop #BAFCSM26 ‘The Central Saint Martins BA Fashion show touched down in Peckham, with the graduating class showing six looks each. And it was a promising night for the next gen of menswear designers. @_lukesaul brought off-kilter androgyny to menswear, with a full-length sequin dress constructed entirely out of recycled aluminium cans. They were layered over trompe l'oeil denim made with calico scraps with an oil painted make up. @josephrichman put playful sleaze down the catwalk with a glossy black jacket adorned with an oversized bow and swishy printed trousers. A dystopian take on tailoring came courtesy of @140.bigg, with a sleeveless, ombre-gradient coat layered over a matching cream-to-black suit and finished with a floral mask and gloves. @shaneelias showed off his deconstructed vision for menswear through loose thread-like patterns on a wool blazer with an almost tonal button-up and split-hem dirty beige bottoms. Finally, @kyalheanly showcased beautiful drapery with a structured yet flowy dress-like poncho, paired with striped turquoise leggings and layers of scarves around the neck.’
