it has been quite funny seeing the surprise some people have at me using just one machine for a live techno set 🎛 i am now using two !

dragon on film cam 🎞 📷

packed schedule of howling at the full moon, lake mud, laughing til face hurts, renegade masters, soupy soupy soup, frog raves, teamwork, plumbobs, angler fish, heart to hearts, being present, very very good music, the commitment to the bit, deepening the lore, singing seal's "kiss from a rose" and not knowing what time it is

This weekend marks almost a year since I started my live/production journey, and it was such a pleasure and so much fun to wrap up the year by playing at My Aeon for @150bpm.events 😌

Reflecting back and thinking where I am now, there are endless things to improve on and develop - already cannot wait for the next iteration 🤭 Super grateful for the amazing community here in Melbs and for all the fun everyone contributes to and shares, and very special hugs to my friends who are always there to share the joy and to dance tirelessly 🤍

If you missed it - I have uploaded the recording to SoundCloud (link in bio), hope it resonates with you 🎧

my [all live hardware techno] set from the weekend 🐸🎛

maximum squelch, oscillation and drive to close @myaeonevents for our 6th 150% LIVE showcase ~

this is my 2nd time ever playing full live solo ♡ i didn't ever envision that playing live instruments on stage would be part of my electronic music journey at all.

coming from musical instruments prior to DJing, i have always found i've felt a disconnect on DAW without instruments in front of me. i came to accept that producing may not be for me.

then i booked @cell_music_ at the beginning of 150 BPM, years ago, to play a live hardware set. and it clicked that for me it only made sense for me to use instruments to produce.

i wanted to run an all live hardware event series to help platform artists like Cell. i hadn't seen enough of this sickkk shit and thought i could expose it to a new audience! so i met with @mr_rachele , who helped bring '150% LIVE' to life, and then @lincoln_webber_ who then took his place.

the risk and pressure of doing it live seemed crazy. it was also intimidating as it seemed extremely male-dominated, even moreso than DJing.

when i witnessed @shaydoemusic and @ve.ssa_ play, it changed everything for me. seeing these baddies kill it live, take risks and experiment allowed me to envision the possibility for the first time.

and now it is coming together especially due to the kindness of the live community, who are the first to share knowledge, gear and anything to get you on the stage. if it wasn't for people like the above, i wouldn't have ever tried.

🙈 and now i want to do it 100 more times.

thank you to everyone who supports our live events and who has supported me in this new path 🎛 (the recording of this set is on my soundcloud if youre curious to listen hehe)
