Hosted by Black Girls Do Bike, this Breast Cancer Awareness ride was about more than cycling. It was about community, awareness, solidarity, and standing together in the fight against breast cancer.
Black women face a disproportionate risk of dying from breast cancer. Awareness matters. Early detection matters. Access to care matters.
Every mile is a reminder that behind the statistics are mothers, daughters, sisters, friends, and loved ones.
We ride together. We stand together. We fight together.

Now that summer has come to an end and fall is in full swing, it’s time to say goodbye to some of my favorite, and not-so-favorite, places to ride. 🍂🚴🏾‍♂️
One of those places is the Rockaway Boardwalk. Let’s just say I’ve had some interesting encounters there! 😂
This time of year, the boardwalk gets cold, windy, and a lot less enjoyable to ride. So, it’s time to switch gears and rethink when, where, and how I ride.

🚨 PSA FOR MOTORISTS: Tell a friend.
Please be a little more patient with cyclists.
You’re protected by thousands of pounds of metal. We’re on two wheels with a helmet.
When you see us move around or slow down, there’s usually a reason. We’re avoiding potholes, sticks, glass, seashells, metal, debris, or whatever else is in the road.
Sometimes that means we have to zigzag, slow down, or take a little more space.
So please give us a few seconds. That extra 3–5 seconds isn’t going to change your day, but it could make all the difference in ours.
We’re just trying to get home safely. 🚴🏾‍♂️💨

Another ride from Brooklyn to Philadelphia and another 100+ miles in the bank of fitness. On Saturday, we made our 6th Annual journey to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and we are certainly pleased to express that it was a success. No incidents, and no mechanicals. Just great scenery, great terrain, and even better vibes.

We'd be remiss if we didn't acknowledge the crucial support of @keithbryantvibes, @simply_shivy, and @wstlyrbnsn. They ensured that we had enough sustenance to finish off strong. Please accept all of your flowers!!!
