We didn't start AI Advantage because we're behind. We started it because we're being overlooked. 🤎✊🏾
Here's what nobody's telling you:
Black and Brown folks are actually leading on AI. We use AI tools at the same rate — or higher — than everyone else. (49% of Black and Hispanic adults have used AI chatbots, vs 46% of white adults. — Pew, 2026)
So why does it still feel like the door is closing on us?
Because we're the most exposed and the least represented.
→ 2 in 3 Black workers say AI is already changing their jobs — vs 57% of workers overall.
→ 71% of us feel we need new skills to keep up — vs 53% overall.
→ Yet Black and Hispanic workers are underrepresented in the AI workforce — the people building these tools and getting paid the most to do it. (Georgetown CSET)
Read that again. We're the early adopters. We're the most at risk. But we're not in the room where it's built.
That's the gap. And that's exactly why we're here.
AI Advantage is a community for Black and Brown people who refuse to be left out of the biggest shift of our lifetime. No gatekeeping. No jargon. No "you need a CS degree." Just real tools, real skills, and real ownership — so we go from using AI to building with it and profiting from it.
We're not catching up. We're taking our seat. 🚀
👇 Drop a 🤎 if you're in. Follow for tools, tutorials, and the moves nobody else is teaching us.

We're bringing more than business cards.

Because the best rooms are not built around collecting the most contacts.

They are built around better questions, generous introductions, useful ideas, and the freedom to be honest about what the work actually requires.

Community Conversations is a place for participation and connection. The second hour is a panel, but the first hour will be small group speed networking. Keep an eye out - we'll be sharing more details next week.

📅 Event details:

Sip City @sipcityclt | September 17 | 6:00–8:00 PM
917 Central Ave., Charlotte, NC

You don’t have to work the room. You don’t need the perfect introduction.

On September 17th, we’re gathering at Sip City for Community Conversations, a low-pressure evening for Charlotte founders, owners, nonprofit leaders, marketers, communicators, and creatives to talk about what’s actually happening in our work and our city.

Bring a question. Bring an idea you’re building. Bring a challenge you’re trying to solve. Bring a connection you can offer someone else.

Testing it where it matters most: live on set. A few more tweaks, a little more pressure-testing, and this app will be ready to help event managers, planners, photographers, and video teams stay aligned and on time.
I built it, brought it on set, and put it to work in real time. After a few more updates and more field testing, this will be a strong tool for keeping production teams and event partners organized from start to finish.
Real-time testing is the best test. This new app is already helping keep the set organized, the team aligned, and the day moving. A few more adjustments and it’ll be ready for event pros, corporate planners, videographers, and photographers. #videoproduction #eventmanagement #videoproduction
