“4REDIT” comes from Argentine DJ and producer 182ALES, now based in Mallorca, Spain. The track appears on QuickTime Records’ compilation La Memoria del Futuro. Working around his concept of “Futurismo Análogico” — Analog Futurism — 182ALES moves between disco, acid and Indie Dance, connecting the nostalgia of the past with a distinctly futuristic sensibility. Echoing the compilation’s title, “The Memory of the Future,” “4REDIT” feels like a fragment of the past reconstructed for a contemporary dance floor. Analog-flavoured grooves, hypnotic rhythms and warped electronic textures collide to create something strangely familiar while simultaneously pointing toward an unknown future. Past and future, disco and acid, physical groove and psychedelic atmosphere begin to blur into one another. A track that captures the essence of 182ALES’ Analog Futurism.
