A hint of blue for a new Monday 💙 But mostly, it’s about the little details, the ones you notice more and more the longer you wear a watch.

I’ve been wearing this Wise a lot, and I’m loving the way its Damascus steel is slowly coming into its own. The finishes are aging beautifully, adding just the right amount of character. Paired with that blue lizard strap from @1971straps, it’s a winning and timeless combo IMO.

That’s the thing about watches you wear: they don’t just keep time. They collect it.

The moonphase 🌔🌓🌒 is one of the oldest complications in watchmaking, but the Echo/Neutra Averau Moonphase gives it a distinctly modern interpretation.

Instead of feeling overly classical or ornate, it keeps the complication clean, architectural, and understated: blending vintage mechanical charm with a contemporary minimalist aesthetic. A perfect reminder that traditional horology can still feel fresh and effortlessly modern.

A true strap monster, shown here on an appropriately poetic floral pattern leather band by @1971straps.

It could have been a great contender for B&W Wednesday, but I just loved the color tones and those red accents too much :) Those shots were made around the last new moon ... so nowhere to be seen here. Hopefully, next time.

I saw the theme #watchesandjacketsweek and thought it might be fun for the coming days.

I start with the Seiko Flightmaster SNA411.
Here are some quick photos after my night shifts.

It's winter, and it snowed heavily here, which has now turned into rain. 🌧️ ☔ 🧥
So a good jacket is definitely necessary in this weather. I hope you like this theme and can post some nice pictures!

The Seiko Flightmaster is still on the leather strap from @1971straps .

The custom made strap especially for this watch is fantastic, especially because of the stitching.

In my stories, I asked what you'd most like to see on my Instagram channel. The result is a mix of content. Basically, as it is now. So I'll continue with what I was doing.

It's Speedy Tuesday, I know, but I'm ThePoorWatchman, and Speedys aren't in the closet here.

What is in the watch box is the Seiko Flightmaster. The OG Pilot watch! The Pilot watch that's unfortunately no longer made.

And on this leather strap made especially for this watch by @1971straps , the Flightmaster fits comfortably on the wrist. A simple wristroll for today's post.
