POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Last weekend I had the privilege of going to @streetdanceassociation Dance Sport Club League Nationals (IPTs) with Team KZN (@sdadancesportclubleague_kzn follow them) hosted in the beautiful Cape Town.

It was a weekend filled not only with all different flavours of Hip Hop but also of the South African Hip Hop Culture.

What an honour it was to watch the passion on the floor after the hard work and dedication I know these athletes have put in. My personal favourite was the battles... the vibes and the talent was out of this world.

We learned so much and look forward to next year's season!

Thank you to my fellow KZN coaches, parents, dancers and everyone who made it possible.

So proud of our big girl Keziah. 4th capping (receiving her provincial colours for the 4th time). This competition is especially important to her because the first time she stepped onto the floor a few years ago, she froze and burst into tears. It was uncle Craig @streetdanceassociation co-founder who took her aside, encouraged her and she got back out on the floor to compete and make it all the way to finals. Thank you @danceculturestudios @shannyj_ @quintusjansen for being the best for these kids and just top of the game in your industry. Special thanks to our beautiful friend @1amafricanqueen (street dance co-founder alongside your beloved Craig) for your courage and excellence in continuing to build this platform for the dancers.

✨ STRICTLY 5678 2026 – ADULT SHOW HIGHLIGHTS ✨

What a truly unforgettable evening.

To every dancer who stepped onto the stage, thank you for sharing your passion, courage, and love for dance. Your performances brought joy to everyone in the audience, and we could not be prouder of what you achieved.

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible judging panel for giving your time, experience, and encouragement to our dancers. Special thanks to Mandy Bullock for joining us in her first year as a Strictly 5678 judge. The major trophy at Strictly 5678 is presented in honour of Dave Campbell and Mandy’s late husband, Craig Bullock, whose love and contribution to dance continue to inspire us. Mandy, thank you for your strength, your generosity, and for helping us celebrate their legacy.

To Salome Sechele and Kiruna-Lind, thank you for sharing your knowledge and supporting our dancers with such warmth and professionalism.

And finally, thank you to the entire Five6seven8 team, teachers, volunteers, backstage crew, and everyone who worked tirelessly behind the scenes. Events like these are only possible because of your dedication and commitment to creating unforgettable experiences for our dance family.

Strictly 5678 has always been about more than trophies. It is about community, memories, growth, and celebrating the art of dance together.

Until next year… ❤️
