"My route to becoming a Branch Manager required a lot of self-motivation and determination.
~
I found that pushing myself through the negative thoughts in my head not only put me in control of how I felt, but also reassured me that they really are just that—negative thoughts.
~
Once I realized that, I was able to push through without letting it get to me. Now, I’m more ready than ever to take on whatever comes next—no matter what that may be.
~
I constantly remind myself that the results aren’t what matter—it’s the actions I’m taking that count. Those actions, over time, start to compound and create the results I want.
~
My advice on how to get into a more productive mindset:
~
1. It’s okay to think about an unfortunate demo, but don't dwell on it. Move on—it’s in the past now.
~
2. Mark off EVERYTHING in your calendar. Once you complete it, you’ve been successful for the day—the results don’t matter as much.
~
3. Think about the best demos you’ve done, and remind yourself that the next great one is right around the corner—you just have to keep going." - Brad Gray, Branch Manager (East Cincinnati, OH)
