Life been life.

Perfecting the grind, getting my mind right, and figuring out what the next season looks like.

Still working on though.
It’s been slower.
More behind the scenes.
More intentional.

Learning that every season not about being seen. Some seasons are just about staying in the fight.

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to serve as a judge for a Black Business Month pitch event, and it was truly a full-circle moment.

Being selected to judge alongside so many impactful community leaders was amazing in itself. Sometimes you’re so busy building, working, and pushing forward that you don’t always stop to see your own growth.

I also had the opportunity to watch so many businesses I know step up to pitch and shoot their shot, and put themselves in position for greater opportunities. Even better, I got to celebrated businesses I know who walked away as winners!

A huge thank you to Beaver Street Enterprise Center for creating a space to recognize, support, and celebrate Black-owned businesses during Black Business Month. Events like this matter because they allow entrepreneurs to be seen, heard, supported, and connected.

August may be over, but next year let’s start early and make sure we’re celebrating Black Business Month the entire month!

Congratulations to everyone who pitched, everyone who won, and everyone who continues to show up, build, and bet on themselves. 🖤👏🏽
