Released on October 7, 2022, “Only Built For Infinity Links” is the one and only studio album from the Unc & Phew duo of Quavo (@quavohuncho) and Takeoff (@yrntakeoff) ♾️
Released on Quality Control Music/Motown Records (@qualitycontrolmusic), “Only Built For Infinity Links” was the first studio project from the duo of Quavo and Takeoff. After the Migos (@migos) released their fourth studio album “Culture III” in 2021, rumors began to swirl around the group’s breakup. Amid these rumors, Quavo and Takeoff began to release singles such as ‘HOTEL LOBBY (Unc & Phew)’ and ‘Us vs. Them’ under the Unc & Phew moniker. Drawing inspiration from projects such as “Watch The Throne”, “Stankonia”, and “Only Built 4 Cuban Linx…”, the album titled “Only Built For Infinity Links” arrived in 2022, becoming the last project released in Takeoff’s lifetime. Well-received upon release, “Only Built For Infinity Links” debuted at number seven on the Billboard 200. Production on the album was handled by DJ Durel (@djdurel), Buddah Bless (@buddahblessthisbeat), and Murda Beatz (@murdabeatz), among others. Guest features include Gucci Mane (@laflare1017), Young Thug (@thuggerthugger1), Gunna (@gunna), and others ♾️
Tragically, on November 1, 2022, less than one month after the release of the album, Takeoff was shot and killed in Houston, Texas. R.I.P. ♾️
