Matt tasked us with mounting an inverted rear winch, relocating the battery, and reinforcing the frame. We combined all three criteria to make the ultimate rear-end package.🛡️

🏁 Winch: We strategically placed the accessories, starting with the @warnindustries Zeon XP 14-S winch. We leveled it to ensure the winch line would have a straight shot out of the center of the rear bumper. The @addoffroad rear bumper was reinforced and fitted with a @factor55 fairlead. Once the supporting modifications were in place, we mounted the winch to the frame and trailer hitch using 1.75” .120 4130 tube, all while keeping the hitch removable. The winch controller was relocated to provide maximum ground clearance. The addition of the Factor 55 UltraHook on the rear bumper required a custom license plate mounting solution, so we made a custom license plate holder on quick-release pull pins.

🏁 Battery: We created a custom battery box for the @antigravitybatteries lithium battery. The battery box was hung off 1.25” .120 4130 square tube, and the winch controller was mounted on the side.

🏁 Frame: We took the opportunity to reinforce the frame even further by welding 2” .120 4130 diagonal supports to the Watts link pivot points.

🏁 Paint: All of the factory paint affected by welding was sanded off, and everything was masked to receive 3 coats of paint + 1 coat of clear coat. We applied the paint over the course of 3 days to allow sufficient cure time between coats. This will ensure the finish lasts for years to come.

🏁 Wiring: To connect the battery and power the winch, we made custom Mil-spec battery cables covered in Raychem DR-25.

With this rear-end setup, Matt is ready for whatever the trail or desert throw at him. ⛰️🛻🌵

Here’s our solution for integrating a Starlink Mini and chase lights into @1lematt Ranger Raptor. We machined the @rpgoffroad third brake light housing to accept a Deutsch Autosport connector, allowing the Milspec power wires to pass through the housing while remaining fully sealed with Raychem boots and DR-25. The Starlink Mini is mounted in a @themountingcompany enclosure for quick removal and is terminated to a Deutsch DT bulkhead connector. Finally, the OEM third brake light has been replaced with a @bajadesigns S2 Sport, while two additional S2 Sports act as chase lights.

More wiring for @1lematt’s Ranger Raptor. This harness consolidates the Switch Pros RCR keypad and all low-current outputs into one integrated harness, powering accessories across the entire truck. Constructed entirely of Tefzel wire and Raychem, this harness with outlast the life of the truck.
