This was my first time vending at a larger event and second time vending ever, and WOW I can't believe it all happened! It made me so happy seeing folks be excited about my cookies and so thankful and encouraged seeing all the awesome vendors and performers there. Big thanks to the organizers for putting on the Community Blocks Street Fair! @coffeebeerme is where I first found out about the event, and gosh do I miss @cutieebuys ...

🏖️🍍🥥
I had gotten really excited about the August Cookie Drop design so had made a total of 109 beach-themed cookies. The photo I took of all of them doesn't even fit in the post dimensions! I also made ocean-themed nectarine cake pops with gold-painted sea critters (which the kiddos seemed to especially enjoy)

🍒🍑
The other cookie type I had a lot of fun making were the red cherry nectarine cake pop smash cookies! My mind calls them cherry bombs. A whole nectarine cake pop (made from the nectarine jam that I was super hyped about from the last cake I made) smushed aggressively yet respectfully between two cherry cookies, made from the same dough as the little cherry nubbins of the beach cookies, with the icing lettering trying to mimic the font on the Community Blocks event posters.

🧁🖌️
Finally I wanted to mention the sign I hand painted. It took a while but I'm finally at the stage of gathering tabling equpment (tent, chairs, table, etc.) where I can focus more on signage. I still can't believe I have a tent now, a full T E N T! Next month I'll be at @theflipsidepdx for the Interstate Market and am super excited for the next design!
