First overseas hyrox race. Truly an eye-opening experience, seeing the level of competition here in BKK. Thankful that this time around, I got to stand on the shoulder of giants such as @javinchan @seowie and @xtriderunning , which allowed me to see further and go faster. Definitely still have lots to work on, am far from satisfied with my performance but it is what it is.

Grateful for all the support from all those who came down to watch us, and also big thanks to the BFT gorgors and jiejies for bringing us around Bangkok 😆

Still on a high from the CDSS Tripartite Conference 2025!

As one of the organisers, I’m so thankful for everyone who made this possible! Our amazing speakers, our sponsors for their generous support, and my classmates, friends, and colleagues who came to cheer us on and share this journey.

It was inspiring to see passionate dental professionals from our tripartite partners - Australia and Hong Kong coming together to share and learn from one another!

Called to duty as both Honorary General Secretary and Chair of the Orthodontic Chapter at the 17th AGM and 12th Conferment Ceremony of the College of Dental Surgeons, Singapore (CDSS) last Friday.

As our profession continues to evolve amidst technological shifts, demographic changes, and growing patient expectations, the responsibility to uphold excellence and shape the future of specialist dental care has never been more pressing.

We were privileged to have Prof Goh Bee Tin deliver this year’s CDSS Oration. Her insights on the exciting transformations in our field，from artificial intelligence and digital dentistry to teledentistry and robotics， were a powerful reminder of how far we’ve come, and how much further we can go.

It was also heartening to witness the conferment of our new dental specialists — a celebration of their dedication and a symbol of the bright future ahead.

I sincerely hope to see more young dental professionals join the CDSS family and pursue the path of specialist accreditation. There is great purpose and pride in being part of a community that is committed to advancing specialist care and maintaining the highest standards in dentistry -to lead, to support, and to give back to the profession that has shaped us.

Grateful to work alongside a dedicated CDSS Council under the leadership of Dr Poh Yu-Jin and now Dr Mohan, and to be part of this meaningful chapter for our fraternity.

Why should you see an orthodontist?

Because we spend 3 years training them to excel in this specialty and another 2.5 years (at least) to complete the specialist exams - giving you that beautiful, straight teeth and gorgeous smile that captures everyone's ❤️.

Seeing my postgraduates achieve this significant milestone filled me with immense pride.

It reaffirms the value of mentorship and the joy of watching their growth and accomplishments.

Their success is a testament to their hard work and our collective efforts, inspiring me to continue guiding and supporting future orthodontists on their journeys.

Teaching is profoundly rewarding experience.
