A Beautiful Weekend celebrating Nicole!

Day 2 and 3 of our soft opening weekend at the VIP Trauma Recovery Center were beyond anything I could’ve ever dreamed.

I want to thank each and every person that traveled from all over the COUNTRY and the state to be here with us this weekend. I want to thank my team and our parents at @eastendcafeva for working so hard all month and all weekend to curate and experience that I believe will be one we won’t soon forget 🙏🏾

We laughed. We cried . We danced . We broke bread and fellowshipped amongst commUNITY.

We have accomplished so much in the past 56 days of starting this journey. Literal blood sweat and tears .. but this weekend was confirmation that the best is yet to come 🖤💫

Today was our first day of filming our documentary at the VIP Trauma Recovery Center with some community champions that I am honored to work alongside 🖤💫

“This project includes a story-sharing opportunity for survivors of gun violence. Survivors and people directly impacted by gun violence are encouraged to share the xperiences in their own words. This opportunity is intended for people who want to reflect c how gun violence has affected their lives, their families, and their communities. Participants may choose to talk about how they have navigated grief and trauma, the support or challenges they faced afterward, and whether those experiences shaped how they engage with their communities today.

Stories may also explore how individuals have turned personal loss into action, including advocacy, organizing, or supporting others who have been impacted by violence. The goal is to highlight the human experiences behind gun violence and center voices mainstream media often ignores or neglects.

This story-sharing opportunity is part of a senior journalism capstone project at Hampton University. The multimedia project will examine how local community leaders and grassroots organizations respond to gun violence when political systems fail to protect people.”

Thank you to everyone who came out to Coffee and Crochet yesterday, and to Ms Liz for always sharing her space with us!

We had the largest C&C yet! We made over 40 cups and sold a bunch of bags, but the best part was spending time with so many wonderful people.

Thank you again…we love this community so much! Everyone is always incredibly kind, interesting, and fun to be around.

The last time I stepped on the platform, I was super sad and going through a lot, and it took me 4 years to come back. This prep was a lot due to mental and emotional things happening at every moment, but it all lead to this moment, and I am happy I stuck through with it to support a friend and a cause. Thank you @_melissadawnxo for hosting a great meet for a great cause. Thank you @banhmi.barbell for coaching me and having more faith in my strength than I do sometimes. Thank yo to my friends Step, Kailah, Hollie, Shanniya for being there and my friends who were cheering me on from a far ( Sandy, Quayla, Rickia, Aubrey talking about you guys), @montanasmotivation for bringing the good vibes, all the beautiful people (judges, spotters, and lifters) that I got to meet and was cheering me on, and to my bb @know_kneel for being beside me and competing along side me, believing in me and giving me the emotional support I needed the most. I needed this, and I am glad I could finally meet a goal I nearly abandoned cause I thought I it was too late. I know now I am super wrong, and I can do anything, even at my worst moments. So yeah, go me 🥹💚🫶🏾

I was looking thru the recap videos from the first year of Galentine’s🥹 this year’s was cool but I was literally fighting depression & grieving the whole time 🥲 next year we’re having a planning committee 😅🤣 so all my ladies on the board pls prepare yourselves for our first meeting coming up 🤣🤣 we’re gonna have a timeeeee💕💗💖💞💓

Ofc I w8ed till the last day of Pisces Szn to post, I had to let it all sink in😌🎂 27 was brought in with such grace✨ I should’ve taken more pictures but I was so overjoyed with how my ppl showed up for me🥹💕 not even half off all who attended are pictured! Catching up over cocktails and chicken & waffles turned a party of 10 into a 3 tables of 20 people😂 everybody who showed up has such a safe space in my heart I hope I’ve made that abundantly clear, here’s to 27 revolutions around the Sun 🌞
