Some properties are more than real estate. They’re part of a story. ❤️

Representing the buyers of Dolly Parton’s former Solvang retreat, affectionately known as Dollywood West, has been one of the most memorable honors of my real career.

As their representative, I had the privilege of helping welcome new owners into a property with a truly special place in Solvang’s history. And with that comes something bigger than a real estate transaction: the opportunity to carry forward a little piece of Dolly’s legacy.

Dolly has always represented so much more than music. She represents kindness, generosity, authenticity, hard work, and the ability to make people feel special. Those are the things that make a place meaningful long after the original owner has moved on.

To the new owners, congratulations! May this next chapter be filled with happiness, wonderful memories, and the same warmth and spirit that make Dolly so beloved.

And to Dolly, thank you for leaving a little bit of your magic here in Solvang. Some legacies are simply too special not to keep alive. ✨

The keys have changed hands. The story continues.

In a world that moves fast, moments like this watching the sun disappear beyond the mountains with good friends are a reminder that happiness and success in life aren’t just measured by what you build—it’s also measured by the people you share the view with.🥂

Big ideas and long-standing goals were part of this week’s Measure A Citizens Oversight Committee meeting.

Transit innovation, electrification savings, and emerging technology were shared by Gamaliel Anguiano of Santa Maria Regional Transit.

Committee members also reflected on how a vision discussed in the early days of Measure A — expanded passenger rail service for South Coast commuters — is now moving forward thanks to regional coordination.

Plus: a sneak peek of the 2025 Measure A Annual Report coming March 19.

Grateful for the quiet beauty, the wide-open vineyards of Santa Ynez, and the people who walk through this life with me.

This year, I’m giving thanks to my family, for friendship that feels like family, for moments that slow us down, and for the journey ahead—step by step, side by side.

Wishing everyone a meaningful and connected Thanksgiving. May your heart be as full as these hills and your table surrounded by those who matter most. 🍂🍷

What stood out most during Solvang Pride yesterday?
Friendship. 🌈💛

It was in the spontaneous hugs, the shared laughs, the reunions, and the new connections. Pride is about identity, yes — but it’s also about the bonds that lift us up and remind us we’re not alone.

In a world that can still be too quick to judge, choosing kindness, showing up for each other, and celebrating friendship is a quiet kind of rebellion — and a beautiful one.

Thanks to everyone who made the day unforgettable. Here’s to friendships that affirm, protect, and grow.
