Max has a very special place in my heart. And I know that if I had the space for him, he would already be mine.

Max has spent a good portion of his life in the shelter system. First in California, then in New Jersey. And like so many Shepherds and Malinois, kennel life was incredibly hard on him.

By the time @odineyecanines gave me the green light to get him out, his time was already up. We walked him out just in time.

It took @203k9 to see what I saw in Max, and what only a handful of others believed was there. They gave him a chance, put in the work, and after a month of training, Max is finally ready to spread his wings. ✨

Max doesn’t just want a home. He wants a partner. Someone who loves to train, work, and grow alongside him. Someone who will continue to guide him, build trust, and give him the structure and bond he’s been missing.

Max is not your average dog. He’s incredibly special, and I wish more people could see him the way I do.

Whoever gets to share their life with Max will be one very lucky person.

I can’t be his person, but I won’t stop looking for the one who is.

If you think that could be you, please reach out. And if not, please share Max. His person might be watching. ❤️

Losing your soul dog changes you 🤍 They leave huge paws to fill and for some of us, one just won't do it.

Diving in and truly saving dogs is the very best way to honor the one that shattered your heart to have to let go of.

Thank you Kristie for choosing us to dive in with 💕🙏🐾🖤🤍

#Jax had his 2nd visit with our @203k9 peeps today. Little Miss #Layla tagged along to help show him the ropes.

We can not say this loud enough ---> having the RIGHT people in place (all around) is absolutely crucial. Everyone wants to do rescue or be a trainer. Not many put in what it takes to do it.

#StayTuned to see Jax's journey, today was a great day!!! 💪🙌🐾

Max update 🚨 Things are going very well with this handsome man at @203k9 - funny how most people gave up on him… What a little patience can do. Good job Max! Now let’s find you a family! #adoptmax #shepherdsofinstagram #workingdogsofig #k9training #shelterdogsrock

Look how far Max has come! 🥹

From a stressed shelter dog to making incredible progress in training. We’re so proud of this boy, but his story isn’t finished. Max is still looking for his forever home.

Max is a 2-year-old German Shepherd/Malinois mix, neutered, up to date on vaccinations, incredibly smart, and full of drive.

He’s looking for an experienced Shepherd or Malinois owner who understands high-drive working breeds and can provide structure, consistency, an active lifestyle, and continued training. A fenced yard is required, and he’d likely do best as the only dog.

Max has come a long way, but he still has challenges and needs someone committed to continuing his progress.

He’s currently training at @203k9 in Stamford, CT, where his future adopter will receive complimentary training sessions and in-home support. Max can be adopted in NJ, NY, CT and PA.

Max doesn’t need to be everyone’s dog. He just needs to find his person.

Please share to help us find the right home for Max!

#Jax had his 2nd post-op follow-up appointment today .... we have medical clearance!! 🙌 .... The importance of following the doctor's orders is crucial and allowed for him to be cleared a couple of weeks earlier 🌟☺️

Our very next stop was to make an introduction for him to our @203k9 peeps. We could not be more grateful or more proud of the work that we do together 🫡🙏🐾 Our mantra #TeamWorkMakesTheDreamWork is at it's finest again 🤜🤛

We will be going in over the next couple of weeks for a few lessons before he does his board and train to ensure a familiar transition for him to begin this next chapter of his journey. All the while, his extremely dedicated foster Mom by his side 🫶

We would like to take a moment to express the importance of pulling dogs RESPONSIBLY, having the RIGHT people in place, working TOGETHER, and supporting EACHOTHER. There simply is no other way that rescue should be done.

I personally want to whole heartedly thank you @kmgoodgion for all that you are doing, for having stepped out of your comfort zone, for the dedication, for the love, and for the trust that I have with you 💕🙏🐾 You are open and receptive to everything that we ask and it has shown in the loving demeanor he has with you and Layla ❤️ Without you, he would have never stood a chance, your Mr.Magoo #FosteringSavesLives #ForeverGrateful
