Nothing could have ever prepared me for all the emotions I felt during this trip home to the motherland.

I feel so privileged to have been able to witness my grandma in connection with her very own sisters that she rarely gets to see, I got to be in conversations with my mom, aunts, and uncles after they reunited 9 years later, and Dru and I finally had the opportunity to meet our very own cousins.

I'm forever grateful to experience the unconditional love my family gave and I never knew how much I needed it. I never knew this part of my family and after 27 years later, I finally got to meet them.

Every time I think about the time we had to say goodbye back home in the village and at the airport, I'm met with tears. Truly no words can describe how much this trip meant.

I'll be back very soon. Hẹn gặp lại! 💌
