Moments of 2025🥂Fostered 6 shelter dogs & adopted one, my sister AND my bestest friend moved to Texas🥹, spent some summer time with my boyfriend’s family, went to Cowboy Carter & Breezy Bowl, promoted to 1st LT, did more army things, started my Master’s degree, my sister got a puppy so that makes me an auntie now, and bought a HOUSE!🫶🏽

But there were challenging moments too that I’ve had to recover from. Got my second ACL/meniscus surgery and recovery isn’t going how i hoped. Took trips to the ER in the middle of the night because the pain was so unbearable, none of my meds were working so they had to give me morphine. Balancing army life with knee surgery is pretty difficult, and it’s disheartening to be so young with so many knee problems. A couple months later in July, my boyfriend, his brother, and I were in a fatal car accident caused by a distracted driver where the driver two cars behind us passed away. We tried to help her, which is a sight I’ll never be able to forget. It’s one of those things that makes you look at life differently. She was a wife and a mother. The time i spend with my friends and family means something different now, because that could’ve been us.

Life is so unpredictable, spend time with your loved ones, give them a hug, and tell them just how much they mean to you & how proud you are of them. Good times will always outweigh the bad times. Cheers to 2026 & cheers to recovering physically, mentally, and spiritually. It’s such a blessing to see a new year🤍
