From a distance, the 22STUDIO 4D Year of the Horse Edition is a bold block of brushed steel and concrete. But under the macro lens, an entire brutalist cityscape emerges.

Notice the raw, unpolished texture of the descending purple and yellow concrete stairs. Check out how the neon orange seconds hand sweeps over the blue horse, and look at the depth created by the magnified date window cut straight into the stone.

Brutalist architecture on the outside, mechanical precision on the inside. 🏢⚙️

Resting the 22STUDIO 4D on this textured stone highlights the raw finish of the micro-concrete dial and the brushed steel case. But flipping it over reveals a completely different story.

The exhibition caseback exposes the reliable Miyota 9015 movement, framed perfectly by custom galloping horse artwork to celebrate this 2026 Limited Edition.

Concrete on concrete. 🏢⏱️

Even a concrete watch needs a comfortable lounge to rest after a hard day's work. 🛋️⏱️

But for a timepiece built from solid micro-concrete, a standard velvet pillow just won't do. To create the ultimate resting place for the 22STUDIO 4D, we styled it on miniature furniture from @dossantoscollective.

The vision behind Dos Santos is truly inspiring. The founder’s journey is rooted in a deep respect for architecture and a drive to elevate raw, unforgiving industrial materials into meticulously handcrafted art. For their "Soriana Collection," they took the famously plush, slouchy silhouette of the 1970s lounge sofa and cast it entirely in heavy, unyielding concrete.

Pairing a brutalist concrete watch dial with a solid concrete replica of one of the world's softest sofas is an absolute paradox, and we love how these textures play together in the studio.

We’ve collected dials made of enamel, meteorite, and upcycled kimono silk here at @divas.watch.collection, but today we are unboxing our very first watch made out of solid concrete.

Meet the 22STUDIO 4D Concrete Watch, a special horse edition designed by an industrial design team based in Taipei. The 43mm steel case frames a dial cast from real high-density micro-concrete, designed like a 3D spiral staircase where each hour is carved as a physical descending step.

The hands are specially curved to glide effortlessly over the concrete tiers without ever touching the stone. Through the sapphire caseback, you can view the automatic mechanical movement at work. Thanks to the curved case geometry and hooded lugs, this miniature brutalist sculpture sits comfortably and securely on the wrist.

Compared against one of my favorites, the Zeppelin Wireless from B&W. It’s clear and most compact wireless speakers are heavily DSP-tuned, mostly for pop music.

AA01 steps away from heavy tuning, choosing instead to let sound breathe as it naturally is.
