Fantastic afternoon at Wendover Picnic in the Park.

A superb array of stalls, food, drink and entertainment. Wonderful family occasion for all the family.

Great to tour the stalls with Cllr Peter Strachan before enjoying ice creams with my children.

Huge thanks to Wendover Parish Council and everyone involved in putting on a great show!

2 for one last night - a local (to me) squadron visit to 2409 Halton Sqn.

Good staff chats on the progress made to grow cadet numbers and their offer, and for me to outline plans set out in the Delivery Directive. Q&A with cadets before seeing their leadership training. Ideas shared too for ACC bids for Flt Sim and Esports suite and use of Civ Comm funds to expand offering.
3 promotions tonight, breaking with tradition of CWO putting slides on. 🤣

Then bonus chance meeting with 2457 Tring sqn, awaiting return to their refurbished building. Plans look great.

Off to Nijmegen lunch time, wish me luck

I’m SO excited to finally share that I’ve been selected for TUI’s fully funded MPL Pilot Cadet Scheme, where I’ll be training to fly the Boeing 737 from September!✈️🩵

Becoming a pilot has been my dream and passion since I was a little girl (as you can probably tell from the pictures haha), and I still can’t quite believe it’s happening. Out of over 12,000 applicants, only 30 of us were selected and I’m honestly still in shock.

Over the past few years, I’ve been juggling a full time job in cybersecurity sales, studying for my degree, serving in the RAF Reserves and working towards my Private Pilot’s Licence. It hasn’t always been easy, but honestly every late night, early morning, and weekend of training/studying has been worth it for this moment.

I am beyond grateful and appreciative of everyone who has supported and believed in me along the way, my old air cadet squadron @2409haltonatc that took me on my first ever flight, and especially to @theairleague - whose scholarships made aviation accessible for someone like me. Their work as a charity is incredible and I’m so proud to have been part of it.❤️

I can’t wait to begin this next chapter in the skies and be part of the TUI family ! 🛫🩵👩‍✈️

This weekend saw us run a new online session, entitled 'History of Military Music'. Created by CWO Woollin, this session saw the attendees looking back at the history of Military Music, from the earliest surviving piece of music dating back to 1400BC to the present day.

Some of the current oddities and traditions of the British Military bands are steeped in history and these were explored, along with a quick look at the current structure of RAF Music.

Once again it was great to host the fifty cadets and staff from around the Corps - and we hope all enjoyed! :-)
