A few of these newest social media updates could actually change how you create content. 👀

New testing tools, changes to how businesses share links, smarter AI features + fresh content trends are giving social media managers and small business owners a few new things to work with!

We broke down what’s worth knowing, how we’d actually use it, and easy trends you can make your own.

Views alone don’t tell you why one Reel worked better than another.

Being able to compare Reel performance makes it easier to spot patterns in your hooks, watch time, engagement + follows - and use what you learn when planning your next piece of content.

This could make link strategy on Facebook a lot more intentional.

Instead of automatically sending people off-platform in every promotional post, think about where a link is actually necessary and where your content can create enough interest for someone to take the next step on their own.

Or invest in Meta One so you don’t have to choose!

Pinterest users aren’t always scrolling just to scroll - they’re often actively looking for an idea, product or solution.

That makes visual search marketing especially interesting for product-based and highly visual brands that want to show up closer to the moment someone is deciding what they want.

AI gets much more useful when it actually fits into the tools you’re already using. 🙌

For small businesses juggling email marketing and social media, integrations like this can shorten the distance between having an idea, creating the content + getting it in front of your audience.

Specificity is what makes this trend funny.

Skip the obvious industry joke and choose a hyper-specific customer habit, preference or behavior that makes your ideal audience immediately think, “Yep, that’s me.” 🫣

A visual comparison makes the choice instantly understandable - no long explanation needed. ✊✂️

Use the winning “rock” for the habit, product, service or decision you want to reinforce, while “scissors” represents the alternative your audience already kno
