Remembering the words of @hoodfairy, in 2023, when she looked at co-founder @amberlyalene and firmly manifested that she would return to Cuba after her first visit, means even more to us now. Since her first time participating in our Farming + Sustainability program, Nicole, her husband @deesteel & their daughters have made two more returns to Cuba, and with each visit, it is hard to put in words what it means to be able to grow in community with SJLI the Steele family. Here’s to another beautiful time together and to many more memories together ✨ #cuba #havana #afrolatino #studyabroad #reglasoul #sustainable #farms #farming #blackfarmers #volunteer

this time last year, I created and screened this film with the help of my wonderful friends for black history month. It was a take on Afrofuturism and so much fun to make. I thought I’d share! 🌟BIG thank yous to everyone involved, and HAPPY BHM!!!!!
