Friendship is one of the most important parts of being human. The Buddha himself said that friendship encompasses the entirety of the spiritual path.

When I was young, my mother and father would often tell me, “Show me your friends, and I will show you your character”. It’s a message that resonates even deeper as I get older.

Growing up as an only child, friendship meant a lot to me. It still does. If we are fortunate, our friends eventually become our chosen family. These bonds can be as strong as, or in some cases, even stronger than the bonds of genetics.

I am extremely grateful for my families, both blood and chosen. One thing I’ve learned along my journey is how important it is that I continue to develop a friendship relationship with myself. Indeed, a healthy relationship with your own mind, body and spirit is the foundation for all the other relationships in your life.

Sending all of you wishes of love and friendship towards yourselves. I hope you enjoy some of these pictures from my recent retreat at Bhavana and a cameo shot of the YAE jacket campaign with some members of my chosen family 😊

Happy one year anniversary to #InThisMoment! 🙏🏾🌸🎊
I’m so incredibly grateful for everything that’s happened since this album dropped. When I started writing “In This Moment”, I decided that I wanted to write something I could leave behind for my children so they could understand who I am and what matters to me. I also wanted to share that with the world. This is my most important musical work to date and I’m not sure if I’ll release another one honestly, but I plan to continue to work on this project and see the vision through, with more visuals and interpretations etc. There are so many people to thank. If you had anything to do with the creation and life of this project, whether you produced, sang, shot, watched or listened to it, THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART ♥️.
