NW Masters 10th/88th
First 5 games of qualifying we bowled on an insanely difficult 49ft pattern. Found a couple things and ended up getting myself to +51 for the first 5.

2nd set on the short pattern (36ft) was a different story. Insanely difficult where 180 felt like 240. Many people struggled. Including myself. I only ending up going -34 on short putting me at +17. Only two out of 88 people went plus. Myself and one other bowler.

Going into matchplay I was already happy with myself thus far. It was my first adult tournament cut as a youth. Especially in a field of talent and difficulty of this event I couldn’t have been more proud.

Matchplay we bowled on the unknown triangle special. (My guess is pretty much red square)
I couldn’t really execute as well as I would’ve liked to finishing matchplay at 5-11.

Overall this event was a great one. Finished 10th in my first year of NW Masters and I had gotten 5th Friday night during the sweeper! Got another 645$ in scholarship money. I bowled well, and was blessed enough to get bonus bowling on Sunday!

Thank you Triangle bowl for hosting us and thank you to Andy Schmidt for running such an amazing event and doing a fantastic job!

Thank you to the London family for allowing me to stay with you guys for the weekend!! It means a lot!

Time for a couple weeks off due to wisdom teeth removal but then right back at it for adult/youth doubles with @2handedsushi 🤑

Urban Legends pro shop really knows what they are doing with this equipment!

This past weekend I competed in the Park Lanes Summer Scratch Swiss

After day 1 we found ourself leading going into the final day. Day 2 started a little slow , having to really grind out some tricky pairs. We dropped a couple of spots and had some really close matches that could have gone either way. Going into the final game we were tied with 4th and needed to execute a good game to jump into second. We did exactly that, with all of us put together a good set , we were able to jump back into second.

I had such a great time with some great people , I couldn’t have asked for a better group of guys to bowl with. With this being my first Swiss I’ve bowled in , I didn’t quit know what to expect, but by the end of it I will surely be competing in more of these.

The @hammerbowling Effect Tour did all the work Saturday, averaging just shy of 220

Sunday the lanes were a little trickier and hooked a little more , so when I needed to open of the lanes and get left I pulled out the @dv8bowling Severe Collision

Overall a really fun weekend, that gives me a small taste of what a college environment will be like.

Gave it some time to post but here it goes… (will be long)

The last tournament of the year for us was back home in Lansing, Michigan. It was @playnaia Bowling Championships at Royal Scot. We had a super long 15 hour bus ride to make it here from school, but once we got there, everyone felt so thankful and blessed for the opportunity to be able to bowl for one of the best trophies you can have, during college bowling. The first day we went into matchplay automatically and where the pattern made you start dead left as the oil ended around 30sum feet. We versed Indiana Tech first round and lost 2-0 which was a bummer but since it was double elimination, we still had life to come back together and figure some out.

Next day, we verse Aquinas and something clicked with us. We ended up beating them 2-1 because we knew it was make or break for us. After beating them, we had time to settle down and relax to see what we could do better for our next match against Calumet. We ended up losing 2-1 due to some terrible shot making (which was partially my fault as well). But with this loss, we didn’t hang our heads and think it’s the end of the world. We used this as motivation for next season to continue to want to grow and constantly get better. It’s something many people dream of going to and many don’t get to. It’s truly an honor.

Also got to hangout with a lot of my Concordia buddies who I don’t get to see very often, since I’m so far away which was pretty cool! Miss these guys more than anything and would love to be able to spend more time with them soon! Still a Card4Life🐦❤️

P.S. don’t worry, we’ll be back next year😉
