This is great games you can do with 1 player or a group of players.

The emphasis is shot speed (quicker release), shooting under pressure and with a close out, setting your feet quicker to get your shot off faster.

Here is a drill I like to use to work on
Energy transfer
Fluidity
Balance

Broad jump and flow right into your shot. No pauses, no hitches keep the kinetic chain connected all the way through the fingertips of your shot

Pick ups and punch steps 🎒

Break the moves down from the foundation understand how and why to use it and sharpen and challenge the pick ups so they can always find ways to get in their shot.

This is just a snippet of the work we do at the academy

Here at journey Academy we don’t just care about the athlete we care about the person.

Spiritually, mentally, physically.

We build not just the player, but the person with the habits that carry on for a lifetime.

Discipline, Details, Consistency

A little different lineup today but the same results! Big contributions from AJ and Joel made it a rough day for Dragon Army and Team Together!

If your defender knows you only have one hand, you’re already at a disadvantage.

Journey Academy we don’t just train. We train with intention. Intention is the difference maker between good players and great players. It’s not just about what you do it’s how you do it. Quality is everything.

Don’t avoid your weaknesses. Train them until they become strengths.
