🗣️🔊Story Time! The irony of this photo now! Two reasons:
My hair is this length again! Every time I cut my hair short our Country has been in some political upheaval, but the truth is it's been like this the whole time !!
2. The current state of affairs in the world and the disengaging of diversity as well as DEI as a whole: on ALL federal ,state ,local levels and even in our educational institutions of higher learning!! (Even though in this photo, I was speaking at a "diversity" rally for the fake ass "One Mizzou" program as a student leader on behalf of the Gaines/Oldham Black Culture center. I was working as a work study student at the time, and even though the rally was supposed to galvanize the student body to unify! The gag is ,the slogan was really created after the Joplin storms that happened back then to raise money for those affected and students from that area , they took it and rebranded! A cheap and calculated business and branding/ marketing Idea 💡. It really was a guise and a façade because look at what's happening now and I think I recall mentioning during that speech that it's nice that we were having a diversity rally and all, but the real work needed to be done and a one Mizzou rally wasn't gonna get the job done & look it hasn't !!
