🏆 NMBT MID-WEST 2025 CHAMPIONS: NC ELITE 🏆

As the year comes to a close, we wanted to highlight our biggest milestone yet.

Let’s rewind. In 2024, Commissioner Ali Jaffry was asked to form a team for Chicago’s NMBT (single tournament). The team battled — and fell in heartbreaking fashion on a buzzer beater in the first round of the playoffs.

Fast-forward to 2025. The National Muslim Basketball Tour returned — this time as a multi-tournament circuit — and a reloaded NC Elite took the floor. A 2nd-place finish at the NMBT East Regional secured a spot in the 2026 Champions Tournament…but the job wasn’t done.

Enter NMBT Midwest. August 7–10, 2025. 23 teams from across the United States.

NC Elite went a perfect 8–0 — picking apart and out-working every opponent. Elite chemistry. Relentless defense. Unselfish basketball. A masterclass from start to finish. From heartbreak to history. The team bested all 23 teams and put the North Carolina Muslim hoop scene on the map!!!

Next stop: NMBT East Regional in Baltimore — March 2026, InshaAllah.

Alhamdulillah for the brotherhood and opportunity to compete. The journey continues.

This is THE HOOP STATE❗️
