First act of service completed!! This is just the beginning, without God none of this would be possible! We made our first trip today around Savannah to give out care bags to the community, we are incredibly grateful for everyone who supported, donated and encouraged us! We can’t wait to see where God takes this vision❤️

Leadership is in our student-athletes as well! 💙🧡

This past Monday, SGA President Zaylen Gates met with Savannah State’s Athletics Department and the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) to discuss student leadership, athletic representation, and how both groups will collaborate to support the student body.

SAAC, made up of student-athletes, provides input on the student-athlete experience and helps shape policies that impact student life and athletics. This partnership between SGA and SAAC strengthens our campus community, discuss new initiatives, and ensures all voices are heard.

Congratulations to the elected SAAC 🐅 Leaders!

As the oldest public HBCU in Georgia, Savannah State University continues to empower leaders on and off the field. 🐅

When I first joined Collegiate 100 in my first semester at Savannah State University, I never imagined the weight and reward of leading an organization so deeply rooted in service, mentorship, and legacy. Serving as President of the Seaside chapter for two years has been one of the most challenging, humbling, and inspiring experiences of my college journey. It taught me how to lead with integrity, listen with intention, and act with purpose.
With the help of my brothers, we created opportunities, uplifted our campus, and carried the torch for those who came before us. We showed up for our peers, mentored the next generation, and turned ideas into impact. This isn’t just a celebration of academic success — it’s a reflection of growth, community, and responsibility.
To my all Collegiate 100 brothers and sisters, the 100 Black Men of America, and everyone who believed in me along the way: thank you for helping shape the leader I have become. I’ll carry these lessons with me long after the tassel turns. This is only the beginning! ©️💯
