🚨New Recording Alert!!!!🚨 ⁣
⁣
I wrote “Spooky (Without You)” because three of my friends (two of them being my bandmates 😭) were all preparing to move away around the same time. There are tons of good musicians in town, but I want MY PEOPLE! This song is about how I’d get my friends to stay with me if I were a more selfish, evil person!!!⁣
⁣
We recorded Spooky for a compilation called Old Haunts Volume 2 featuring artists from Columbia, SC! Thank you for including us!!!!!⁣
⁣
Thank you to Will Galán and the Galán family for letting us record our instruments in their home!! Will, thank you for functioning as our engineer!! ⁣
⁣
Spooky (Without You) is performed by:⁣
Desirée Richardson (Vocals, Keyboard, Electric Organ, Screams)⁣
Will Galán @will_galan_ (Drums)⁣
Kirk Barnes @kirko_ren21 (Electric Guitar)⁣
Asteria Blood @adroitasteria (Electric Bass)⁣
Additional spooky vocals provided by Nate Price, Kirk Barnes, and Will Galán⁣
⁣
Thank you to @2xtwofold for mixing (their first time mixing a rock song/a song with vocals!!) and Steve Nuzum for mastering and for organizing the comp!!!!

this saturday at krem
a 2 hr set from @2xtwofold , showcasing the Atlanta-based producer, their new work, and influences.

This song is an exclusive preview from an upcoming unreleased project by twofold.

Support from dj/producer Dave Quam, and Modern Heart resident sepha.

4/25
10pm-2am
Timbre Room
1809 Minor Ave
Seattle

twofold is an industrial club music producer/DJ whose selections center around interrogating connections between regional, Black club sounds from the US, UK and Africa. Since 2022, their sets have brought liberating percussive force to underground dance nights in Atlanta, blending favorite genres of the ‘00s and ‘10s with cutting-edge experimental sounds.

Always moving with intention, twofold thrives on tracing paths through histories and geographies of dance music and finding new ways to re-center the dance floor. From blending Afro house and amapiano through UK garage and UK funky into ballroom house, Jersey club, footwork, and gqom, twofold harnesses rhythms that span across time and place, delivering energy, emotion, and movement.

Their productions follow suit, colliding the progeny of these genres with the sound design languages of sci-fi cinema and triple-A video games and creating a new cultural context for both, in which the club is dramatically reconfigured into a site of sonic intervention.

Their music has appeared on Jamz Supernova's label Future Bounce, as well as being highlighted in DJ Mag, and heralded by reviewers at Bandcamp over the course of their artistic growth. Their work includes remixes for Estoc and Animistic Beliefs, as well as performing in support of DJ Stingray 313, DJ Travella, and INVT.

FERAL KICKZ x CLUB PRIZMATiQ
PRESENT: OUTSiDE CALLZ

For the first time CLUB PRIZMATiQ and FERAL KICKZ collaborate to bring DJ, producer and artist TWOFOLD out for their second appearance in the Pacific Northwest.

A collaboration like this is rare: one standing on friendships nimbly built, but with intention. Soon we enter the sanctity of the forest to allow nature’s energy to heal our restless skin once more.

It’s important to note this collaboration will feature a heavy focus on dance and club music, yet with experimentation throughout to ignite your soul and shake your body.

Please accept this invitation to our spring ritual April 24th. As the sky shifts from sun to moon we enter territory where rough edges meet ready hearts outside in the dark.

Predominantly dripping in all black with the face mask to match @2xtwofold is a multidimensional drum pattern scorching electronic world-building themme fatale.

After to speaking to them at length about their attention to melody on their last project, dance music standout Aftermath, it’s clear they intend to sweat us into macro cosmos of their own creation. Howeverrrrr, when girls got the drums what can you sayyyyyy?!!! twofold’s drumkick rhythms and signature beeps begin to go off and you promptly hear how the continuous press around their music is justifiable and congruent to the gags that are their DJ sets.
