After @kentislandcarsandcoffee we decided to get some rollers in, and of course the weather had other ideas. Shooting rollers is already a challenge—trying to keep the cars sharp while getting that perfect amount of motion—but add rain, wet roads, water spraying everywhere, and trying to keep the camera dry and suddenly it becomes a whole different game. 😭

But looking back at these, I wouldn’t have wanted the conditions any other way.

The wet pavement completely changed the atmosphere. The reflections, the darker skies, the headlights cutting through the rain, and all that spray coming off the tires gave these shots so much more movement. That purple M3 coming through the water looks straight-up aggressive, and having the blue BMW running alongside it made some of these frames even crazier. 💜💙

There’s something about rollers where you can almost feel the speed in a still photo. The cars stay frozen while everything around them turns into streaks of road, water, trees and lights. Add the rain into that and the whole set just feels raw.

Definitely one of the harder sets I’ve shot because of the conditions, but also one of those times where you realize that perfect weather doesn’t always make the best photos. Sometimes you just work with what you’re given, keep shooting, and end up with something way better than what you originally had in mind.

Right after @kentislandcarsandcoffee , when the lot clears out and the real fun starts.

No more parked shots, no more crowds—just open road, engines echoing, and chasing that perfect moment between speed and light.

This is the part people don’t always see.
The in-between moments.
Where everything feels raw, unplanned, and a little bit chaotic—but somehow it all comes together through the lens.

The blur, the motion, the focus locked in right where it needs to be. Every shot taken in seconds, but the feeling behind it lasts way longer.

Sun still high, shadows stretching, and just enough light to make everything hit right.
A perfect end to the morning… or maybe just the start of something better.
