Week 5:
Week 5 of our weekly bible study focused on the book of Ephesians (Chapters 1 & 2)! Ephesians was chosen as this week’s focus because the group has been reading lots of Paul’s messages in the past weeks, so it was only right to continue on that path! The group of this week got a good understanding and more gems of Paul’s message and was able to dissect/gain more knowledge of the word from this session. Despite the rain coming down on us in the 1st half, this group was still able to stay together and finish soaking in the word! The following slides provide dialogue and insight on key takeaways/themes the group was able to take home with them.✝️

Takeaway/Theme 1:
Hold Your Arguments, Let God Be Right- Before diving in to Ephesians, Caiden shares some of his own notes from reading Psalms! He explains how Paul wants us as people in Christ need to bring each other together and stop trying pushing each other further away from him. God knows our hearts, so why are we trying to prove ourselves to others when God knows the real? “We can’t bear any more division, especially now” so let God be right and stop trying to prove yourself to others!

Takeaway/Theme 2:
God Already Wrote Your Story- Mike touches on Chapter 1 Verses 11-14. Verse 11 says, “In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will…”. He touches on how our story is already written and God has been the one with pen in his hand writing away! Trust the author and let him lead you to where you need to be, don’t stress or don’t try to take the pen just keep your faith & let him flow.

Takeaway/Theme 3:
God Has Authority Over Everything- Aniyah talks about verse 21 of Chapter 1 and it is really self explanatory. No matter what it is: the devil, evil spirits, the good, the president, it could be anything on this earth: just remember that GOD HAS THE AUTHORITY!!

Takeaway/Theme 4:
God is Our Peace-Times get hard and we often find ourselves struggling to find a peace within ourselves. I’m here to let you know, that peace your looking for is in God! God knows what your going through and he’s waiting for you to co

Week 4:
Week 4 of weekly bible study focused on wrapping up the book of Philippians (Chapters 3 & 4)! This group had some more new faces, we are just so thankful that we are continuing to grow and bring people along on this journey! Philippians 3 & 4 provided so many gems and so much substance that really struck this group which led to great dialogue. There are a lot of takeaways from these 2 chapters so bear with us and take time to listen to these slides! The following slides provide some dialogue and discussion of takeaways/themes that Week 4’s group was able to take home with them from Philippians 3 & 4.✝️

Theme/Takeaway 1:
Reiteration is Key For Understanding- Mike breaks down the first Verse of Chapter 3 where Paul says “It is no trouble for me to write the same things to you again, it is a safeguard for you”. Paul reiterates all throughout Philippians to be aware of the evil around you that is trying to consume you. He is reiterating that so we understand and it is implemented in our brain because as Mike says, “It is easy to fall back into our ways…it’s easy to fall into that(evil things), watch out for those things which are pulling us away from him(God)”.

Theme/Takeaway 2:
Leave the Past in the Past- The past is the past for a reason and it has ultimately built/molded you into the person you are today! Stop dwelling on the past as it will continue to stop you from the growth that God is trying to show you. Verse 13 of Chapter 3 is what we built Forward Faith foundation on, “Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead…”. Lastly keep your eyes and focus on the prize, and that prize being the relationship with God and spending eternity with him!

Theme/Takeaway 3:
We Can’t Do it Without God- Joseph talks about understanding that none of the things we do are possible without God. We all get in that mode where we feel like we have to do it on our own and can do it on our own, but but like he said, “No matter how much much I try to do something or put the work into something that without HIM it won’t happen”! Remove that mindset that you have to do it on your own.

Theme/Takeaway 4:
Be Aware- Rod talks about Verse 2 of Chapter 3, “Beware

Week 2:
Week 2’s focus was reading and wrapping up the final Chapters of James (3,4, & 5). This group was bigger than last week which really made this session 100x better. Usually these sessions are expected to be a hour, but this group was so struck and overcome by the Word that this session lasted 2 hours! This past Sunday everybody opened up, was vulnerable with one another, and showed progress in understanding the Word. Growth. Purpose. Understanding. Together, this group moved FORWARD in the right direction! The following slides provide insight and dialogue of themes/takeaways that this group was able to take home.✝️

Theme/Takeaway 1:
Don’t Rush God’s Work- Mike explains the analogy of farmers and their crops in comparison to God and us. God is taking his time with us and working on all of us, don’t try to interfere by disrupting the work he is doing. Growth doesn’t happen over night and we won’t just magically change over night, just like farmer and their crops, God plants seeds in us and lets them grow so they can reach their full potential! Don’t rush your growth, let it sprout.

Theme/Takeaway 2:
God Timing Is The Right Timing- God is going to give us what we need when we need it. Don’t get discouraged because he isn’t giving you what you WANT! When the timing is right he will give you what you need. Like Tyler explained, God knows our heart and isn’t going to give us something when he knows we’re not going to use it correctly at the moment!

Theme/Takeaway 3:
Steer Others Right- Kam really breaks down verses 19-20 of Chapter 5 perfectly. When you see your brother or sister headed in the wrong direction don’t just sit and watch them, help redirect them back in the right direction. God didn’t let you swim so you could watch others sink! Like the Word and Kam says, if you see your people going the wrong way insert yourself and try to help steer them back.

Theme/Takeaway 4:
God’s Timing is the Right Timing PT 2- If God gave you a million dollars, you think you would use it correctly? The answer is NO! If he thought you ready for that blessing, he would give it to you. As said before God is going to give you your needs when he knows we are able to handle
