*LONG POST*
I was new in the industry, right out of film school back in 2023, had done a couple of web series by then, when a script hit my desk.
The title page had the working title followed by the name of the writers @karantejpal94 @thegauravdhingra and @agadbumb .
Back then I was really interested in recording dialogue and capturing performances for a feature film. "The film game is different!", my film school seniors used to say.
It had been a long day, I was shooting Doctors that time. I came back to my PG after a 14 hour shift in Vikhroli. I opened my mail and decided I would start reading Stolen.
The long day had turned into a long night, i'd gone through each scene multiple times, I cried, I laughed. I thought about my own relationship with my brother, about the human condition, about cause and effect. I thought about the society, about social media, about injustice, I just couldn't stop thinking even as I slipped into a daze and finally passed out.
Next day on set I still couldn't stop thinking, and that's when it hit me, I didn't care if this was a feature, or a short or a series. I had to do whatever it took to make sure I am the one who works on this project. I needed to be the one to help tell this story.
In a way, I fell in love with fiction and realised the importance it holds in my life only after this beautiful script hit my desk.

I'd really like to thank @thegauravdhingra for showing faith in me, and giving so much importance to capturing true performances in sync. When a producer tells you "I don't want dubs" and actually means it, I truly believe that's when a sound team gets to shine.

@karantejpal94 you my friend, are brilliant, the way you brought those words onto the screen is beyond what I could even imagine. It was an honor for me, to be able to work with you. Even the random things you said on set, about cinema, about the audience's attention, about the so called "rules" . I learnt so much from you man. Thank you.

@nowitsabhi @shubhamfullname @miamaelzer it was an honor for me to be able to capture your performances. Oftentimes your performances moved me so much I couldn't even react to the 'CUT'. Thank you!
