It’s been a great week at MOTELX, catching up with old friends and making new ones.

It was an honor to represent two fantastic short films: A onda and Carne . I’ve seen so much talent across our industry and was truly amazed by what the younger generation of filmmakers is producing. The festival has been an incredible experience.

I’d like to thank @341production , @paguro_film , and @thestoneandtheplot for the wonderful co-productions that brought me here. Special thanks to directors @delossantoscinema and @laura_wargol for trusting me with the sound for their films, and as always, to my amazing Foley team at @soundmakerstudio for always making my work sound its best.

Estrear no ecran do Motel X deixa-me muito orgulhosa. Fazer parte desta nomeação deixa-me orgulhosa.

On September 4th, CARNE by Laura Plebani had its World Premiere at Motel X in Lisbon. 🇵🇹

It was intense, emotional, and absolutely beautiful.

And now… we’re in the running for the MÉLIÈS D’ARGENT! 🏆🔥

A huge thank you to @motelx and to our @dgervasoni81 , representing the producers and especially @341production in #Lisbon and bringing CARNE to its first international audience.

The journey has just begun. 🩸

🇫🇷 CARNE IS CROSSING THE BORDER.
After its World Premiere in Lisbon, CARNE arrives in 🇫🇷

We’re thrilled to announce our #FrenchPremiere at the @fantasticstras (FEFFS), selected for the International Competition, competing for the Octopus d’Or, Audience Award and Méliès d’Argent.

A new festival. A new country.
And a horror film written by women, directed by a woman, and starring an extraordinary female cast:

@matildalutz · @angela.finocchiaro.official · Alessandra Ingoglia · Maria Teresa Galati with the special appearance of @ostetrica_alessandra_bellasio.

CARNE is a story about bodies, motherhood and the loneliness of parenthood — and about the possibility of making films differently.

And because #inclusion has to exist behind the camera too, CARNE guaranteed dedicated #childcare support on set for working parents, creating a more #accessible production environment for cast and crew.

Produced by @shespazza for Paguro Film @341production & @redsledfilms

We’re proud to have the support of @mujeresnelcinema and @womeninfilmmediatvitalia, alongside @umap_aps @bebeboom_it @lineamammababy_official @silvia.bernardini @dandelion.speakeasy, with the patronage of @lombardiafilmcommission.

*CARNE* sta arrivando.

🇬🇧 We are immensely proud to present the official poster for CARNE, created by the master of dark imagery, @daniele_serra_art. Through his visionary style, Serra portrayed MatildaLutz and transformed CARNE into a visceral, unsettling, and haunting image that explores motherhood, the body, and solitude.
To us, this poster is far more than just artwork: it is part of the soul of the film. We hope it gets under your skin as well.
CARNE is coming.
