It may be a small world, but our design ideas are BIG!
Our fabulous client for an event in NYC reached out when they spotted a really cool champagne trike at an event asking if we could do something similar without realizing that it was, in fact, our beverage service in action! What better compliment is there than getting sent your own work as inspiration? Anyone want a champagne trike at your next event?

And shout out to @360color for the pic. We are thrilled to put together something spectacular for you.

❄️ Snowfall is coming to the DMV! ❄️

Stay safe, warm, and prepared with these electrical safety tips from your trusted local electricians ⚡

🔌 Have backup power ready

Ensure generators and battery backups are properly installed and ready before the storm.

⚠️ Avoid overloading circuits

Limit extension cords and power strips to reduce the risk of overheating and electrical fires.

🔥 Use space heaters safely

Keep heaters at least 3 feet away from flammable items and never leave them unattended.

🚫 Watch for downed power lines

Stay clear and call 911 or your utility provider immediately if you see fallen lines.

Your safety is our priority—especially during extreme winter weather.

Three years ago, I wanted to do a Christmas pop-up at one of my properties. I saw this incredible holiday design from my business partner @360color and thought, ‘let’s bring this to life.

When I shared the idea, @catchsyddinthecity told me: ‘This belongs in building lobbies and storefront windows — not just here.’

She was right. Fast forward — that same ‘failed’ project turned into holiday installations in hospital waiting rooms, storefronts, and beyond.

The lesson? Sometimes your idea isn’t wrong. It just needs the right place and the right time.

Every move is a business move. 💡🎄

Who says your workspace has to be boring? 👀💻

✨ We always include dedicated desk setups in our properties—because we know today’s guests do more than just relax. Whether they’re remote workers, creatives, or just checking emails between adventures, having a thoughtful workspace makes a difference.

Here’s a little desk magic from a few of our favorite stays:
1️⃣ Bold in hot pink & glam
2️⃣ Light, bright, and breezy
3️⃣ Moody, cozy, and full of vibe
4️⃣ Breezy & Bright – calm tones that spark clarity

Even the smallest corner can serve major design energy—and we’re all about creating spaces that feel both functional and fly.

Which setup are you claiming? Drop your number below 👇

Happy Birthday 🎂🎁🎈Marion Barry: The Mayor for Life & The Legacy of D.C.

“If you take care of the people, the people will take care of you.” – Marion Barry

Marion Barry wasn’t just a mayor—he was a movement. From the Civil Rights era to his four terms leading D.C., he fought for Black businesses, youth jobs, and economic justice.

📌 Civil Rights Roots – Before politics, Barry was a leader in the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC), organizing protests and empowering communities.

📌 Champion for the People – As mayor, he expanded Black homeownership, created thousands of jobs, and supported small businesses, shaping D.C. into the Chocolate City we know.

📌 A Comeback Story – After a scandal in 1990, he made one of the biggest political comebacks in history, proving his deep connection to the people.

📸 About the Photos:

1️⃣ (Mural with Metro Map & Quote) – Barry’s words live on in the streets of D.C., reminding us of the power of leadership.

2️⃣ (Pitts Motor Hotel Speech) – A young Barry rallying the people, showing how real change starts from the ground up.

3️⃣ (Barry in a Suit, Smiling) – A leader who never stopped fighting for his community.

Barry understood something we live by at dharveypitts—every street, every business, every space tells a story. His legacy still shapes D.C., just like the spaces we create help shape experiences.

💬 What’s your favorite Marion Barry moment? Drop it below! ⬇️
