BTS recording the last chorus of Fine Print in the studio back in February for the Last Word sessions. This was a really fun riff. When I initially wrote the riff I was thinking that I wanted a chorus riff that was slightly busier and moved around a bit. When I presented it to the guys I had programmed the intro and was thinking epic theatrical sci-fi. The song is tuned to drop E1 432hz.

ALBUM REVIEW: NONPOINT - THE LAST WORD

MIXX Rating: 4.5/5 Stars

Nearly three decades into their career, @nonpointband still have something to say, and The Last Word makes damn sure you hear it. Their eleventh studio album isn't about chasing trends or reliving the past. It's about a band that knows who the fuck they are and refuses to be treated like a nostalgia act.

Across 10 tracks, Nonpoint deliver the groove-driven aggression, punchy riffs and massive hooks that have defined their sound for years. @eliassorianoofficial remains a commanding presence, balancing raw intensity with the melodic instincts. @robbriveraofficial drives the groove of this album from front to back. The production keeps everything tight and focused without stripping away the grit.

“Failing the Conversation” sets the tone, while “Is It” digs into the messy internal conflict of questioning your own intentions and wondering whether doing the right thing caused more damage than you realized. “Crowd Control” brings the attitude, and the title track delivers another dose of that unmistakable Nonpoint punch.

There’s more than aggression here, though. “Shoreline” and “Dial Tones” add different shades to the record, while “Red Yeti,” featuring Skye Sweetnam, brings an unexpected collaborative spark. The album moves quickly, clocking in at around 30 minutes, and wastes little time getting to the point.

What makes The Last Word work is its sense of purpose. Nonpoint aren't trying to reinvent everything they've built. They're sharpening it, leaning into their strengths and reminding everyone that longevity doesn't mean the fire has to burn out.

Last thought: The Last Word feels less like a closing statement and more like a band refusing to put down the microphone. Nonpoint still have plenty left to say, and they're not waiting for anyone's permission to say it.

✏️ The Last Word has landed..

Our 11th Studio Album is a proud moment for us all. These songs were written by us. The artwork was made by us. The releases were chosen by us. The invoices, the risk, the promotion and all its support rests on our commitment and efforts. Time in the studio. Time in the practice room. Time away from home. This all for our first full body of work in 8 years. Was it worth it? Absolutely.

Now you have one task left.. Carve out 31 minutes. Get in your car. Start the album, then just drive. Come back here in 32 minutes and tell us everything..

Everything you learned.
Everything you felt.
Everything you loved.
Everything you hated.
What made you think..
And what helped you forget.

Then share this task with your closest Nonpoint 361er..

Thank you for 30 years of support.
