Meet the TAMECT 2026-2027 Officers Emily, Aarav, Versha, and Hanniah!! 🔥 MEET EMILY!!! ✨She is a Neuroscience major from Katy, TX! Her favorite hobbies are baking and crocheting. Why TAMECT? I got into TAMECT because of the people!! It was the pre med org where I felt the greatest sense of community. What are you most excited about in your role? I am most excited for the flexibility of my role in planning projects to benefit our members, present and past, like setting up alumni connections and securing volunteer opportunities, MEET AARAV!!! ✨He is a sophomore Public Health major from Richmond, TX! His favorite hobbies are trying new coffee spots, camping, and traveling. Why TAMECT? The question is why not? TAMECT has found me some of the most amazing friends, while allowing me to apply clinical skills in a unique way. What are you most excited about in your role? Working with my Committee to come up with amazing socials for you, our members! MEET VERSHA!!! ✨She is a junior BIMS major from Frisco, TX! Her favorite hobbies are reading and going to the gym. Why TAMECT? I get to surround myself with other driven students while learning the skills I need to become a better provider all while getting direct patient care! What are you most excited about in your role? Not only do i get to come up with creative ways to fund the many activities we offer, working with PR also lets me build a relationship with our members! MEET HANNIAH!!! ✨She is a senior POSC major/Neuro minor from New Waverly, TX! Her favorite hobbies are working out, watching movies, and photography. Why TAMECT? TAMECT is diverse in both its opportunities and members! What began as a gateway to gain patient care hours and basic medical knowledge, blossomed into unique experiences, cherished friendships and a drive to continue learning and challenging myself in all aspects. What are you most excited about in your role? I’m excited to contribute to a brighter tomorrow! Whether that be equipping members with the tools needed to excel in research or helping develop more informed, compassionate leaders!

The Lovers, The Dreamers, and The Yell Off Winners!🍋‍🟩 I could wait for years and never have the right words to say about what Fish Camp means to me, so I figured I’d at least try to get some of them out now. @locoforlopez My “Why Fish Camp?” The first time I realized that it’s OK to be out there and not worry about what the person next to me was thinking. The experience that made me confident that A&M was where I belonged. @racks.on.rackley The camp that made me into who I am today. The summer that showed me just how far dedication can get you. The group that brought me @_jelly.b_ and gave me a lifelong friend in her. @therealjustinreber The camp that showed me just how special Fish Camp is. The people and stories I would never trade for the world. The experience that taught me I am so much more capable than I ever thought. The group that brought me @jackson_howell.04 who always inspires me to be better than I was the day before. @dancenomordica Gosh, I truly don’t know how I could ever sum it all up, let alone in one paragraph. I’ve never felt more pride for something in my entire life. This camp wouldn’t be a fraction of what it is without the eccentric personalities and overflowing hearts of every single person in it. Every sleepless night and hot glue gun burn all felt worth it seeing my perfect 24 do what they were meant to do all along. Our small family has enough love for one that’s 15x our size, and I couldn’t be more in love with how it all played out (especially the whole winning the Yell Off part). From an impromptu magic show in the Aqua Room (shoutout Travis) to our Mordicasgar banner, I believe that our personality camp is a true testament of what Fish Camp is all about, and I couldn’t be prouder. @marlee.mae My perfect partner. I wouldn’t have been able to do this with anyone else by my side. From sharing shower shoes at Polar Bear to sharing the most perfect amalgamation of our two minds, this could not have been more perfect. You embrace my weird and give it right back. My best friend and my soul sister forever and ever! (you’ll get your nice thing soon I promise). Sorry friends, continuing the caption in the comments😹

Thank you so much @fishcampcrew and @tamufishcamp for allowing me to be a part of something so special and giving me such a wonderful opportunity to meet so many amazing people! To everyone who encouraged me to be a part of Fish Camp, thank you! I didn’t understand the love people had for Fish Camp at first, but I do now, and I am so grateful to everyone who played a part in convincing me to apply last minute. This summer has truly been one of the best and most fun summers in my life, so thank you! To my perfect liaison camps, Session E Blue Camp Woody💙 Session E Green Camp Morgan💚 Session F Red Camp Deegear❤️ Session G Aqua Camp Havens🩵 Thank you guys for being so welcoming and supportive throughout the summer. Being at Lakeview for 2 weeks can be rough, but knowing I had each and every one of you guys to look forward to made it so much easier. You guys truly made every single session so much fun!!! I can now truly say I understand when they say, “From the outside looking in, you can’t understand it, and from the inside looking out, you can’t explain it.”

LONG sappy caption incoming @fishcampcrew, thank you ALL for making my last year in this organization one that ill treasure forever. yall were my light at the end of the tunnel every single weekend and filled my life with so much joy. you never failed to make me feel at home and like myself again after long hard week, ty for being the reason i survived this summer:) to my abcd counselors, i could not be prouder of you. you faced everything that was thrown at us with so much grace and confidence, and stood up for yourself and crew in ways that went above and beyond what we couldve ever asked. after only 2 weeks, ive seen each one of you grow into leaders in both big and small ways, and nothing makes me happier in the entire world. ty for making my last time at lakeview one filled with so many laughs, sweet moments, and stupid bits. to my pp @regina_c15, i dont know where id be without you. your ability to never meet a stranger is something that has turned crew into something so so so special this year. i would have never been able to lead without your wisdom, encouragement, and steadfast confidence. you became the change you wanted to see, and you did it so effortlessly and with so much love. to my lovely defg 25 crew, ty for kickstarting my passion for fc and the role it plays in ppls lives. the joy and light you brought to camp is what made me fall in love with crew. and to @beccasloan and @jake_mancuso, thank yall for EVERYTHING. i would not have found my why without you. yall lit the desire in me to give back to the ppl and mission i love so much. ty for being leaders and friends whos passion and love for this organization is something i could model myself after this year at every turn. im so blessed to be able to serve the organization that shaped me into who i am today. fish camp allowed me to experience the absolute joy of getting to work hard towards something you care so deeply and passionately about, all while getting to do it alongside some of the most amazing people youll ever meet. to be a part of making a&m a home and place of growth for so many ppl is the greatest honor i have ever had, and ive treasured every single second of it❤️
