Today marks my last day as a teacher. A few years ago, a student got a compound fracture from arm wrestling in the cafeteria. I carried him to the office while calling 911 where we ended up in a hospital room and I asked myself “how did I end up here?” It’s honestly the question I’ve asked myself every day I’ve walked into a classroom because something most definitely will occur that will make you question the ground you stand on and the events that have led you to where you are when working with teenagers. That is the question that allows you to realize there is something deeper, more holy about that ground. Its deeper than you can put into words, but you know there is something beautiful taking place. These kids and this school will always hold a special place in my life and heart. I can only hope that my life will continue to be as exciting and wild as it’s been here ❤️
