One silicone mold. One little experiment. And a lesson learned. 🤍✨

What happens when you try to demold a highly detailed 3D master model without cutting the silicone? 👀

Well, I decided to find out! 🥹

And honestly, I’m absolutely in love with how beautifully all the floral details turned out. 🌸

Every little texture transferred perfectly into the silicone!

But there was one little challenge.

Some of the 3D leaves extend outward from the surface, which means they get locked into the silicone. When I tried to remove the mold in one piece, those leaves broke during demolding.

So next time, I’ll make a carefully planned cut in the silicone to release the master model safely. 🤍

That’s exactly why I love experimenting. Every project teaches me something new!

And despite those few broken leaves, I’m incredibly happy with the result. ✨

PP doesn’t need more tricks. It needs the right interface.

Polypropylene has a notoriously low surface energy, which is one of the reasons getting a reliable first layer can be so frustrating.

Instead of relying on tapes, surface hacks or hoping the first layer holds, Magigoo PP is formulated specifically to create the right interface between PP and the build surface.
