Some @3dyasss frames and more from the @grownk1d โ€˜s Electronic LAN Party yesterday! It was so lovely chatting and gaming with everyone I interacted with. Everything was so electric and vibrant and being in a space where everyone felt free to be themselves rocked. Everyone seemed super excited to meet each other in a way that doesnโ€™t feel like they want to pivot away; that they want to see each other. In a world that wants conformity, we must break away from these chains and find comfort/ourselves through playfulness and self-expression and encouraging each other to do the same. No guards, no judgements, no restrictions. As long as you are yourself, youโ€™re seen. Community + third spaces are important to keep around; itโ€™s necessary for everyoneโ€™s existence. The values I aspire to practice for the past 10ish years of event organizing (06/27/17 was my first) emanate within Grownkidโ€™s mission to create organic connection amongst strangers through creating spaces that are authentically curious/fun/intimate/playful. I resonate and respect this kind of intentional care; it encourages me to pursue future endeavors with a similar philosophy. It was my first Grownkid but their posts and being at the LAN helping as production assistant make me feel like our values parallel so it felt sweet to work with them. Itโ€™s surprising how well organized of a ship it was to set/cleanup due to how many hands were on deck. Iโ€™ve help run major tournaments with hundreds of people in attendance but Iโ€™m sure even those folks can learn something. Shoutout the organizers and those who lent hands, Iโ€™m sure it was appreciated. Shoutout to the DJs; it was the first time I knew everyone in a setlist which was cool. Shoutout other staff for being dope and open to connecting and being relaxing to be around. Everyone was very welcoming. And a must be said shoutout to all the beautiful people too. This life and all its inhabitants are super fweakin awesome. See you next time ๐Ÿ‘พ!
