THE AETHER REPORT

On the termination of the experiment — Budapest, September 2026.

For eleven years now, a peculiar experiment has been taking place beneath the streets of Budapest. What began as a simple inquiry into the nature of sound, light, and human presence soon became a phenomenon far more difficult to explain.

Night after night, the chamber filled. Thousands crossed its threshold. Time became immeasurable. Strangers became familiar. The walls began to breathe. And space ceased to exist. We named this phenomenon Aether.

With the passing of time, however, certain interests gradually gained greater influence over the operation of the chamber. Yield became more important than the experiment itself. The chamber could no longer have remained what we had built it to be. At that point, a decision had to be made. We refused !

Therefore, in its present form, the experiment will come to an end on the final weekend of September.

On these two nights, we will activate the apparatus for the final time. And we will allow the Aether to operate freely, one last time.

The Aether is made of those who crossed through this door. Those who played. Those who worked. Those who built it. Those who stayed until dawn.

We thank you.

Should the conditions once again become favourable, perhaps the instruments will begin to operate again.

Till then:
