Happiness is… the moment you realised you’ve done your job well. A few years ago I set out to do the impossible. Run a small business in the bloody nightlife and music industry. The mission was simple (on paper anyways lol) but making it happen is the hard part: help grow artists and communities. I walked into this room with my heart full. Not from the 140+ bpms lol but the fact that all these faces have all come from @back2backdjbattle one way or another, and now all here, supporting a cause together with so much joy in the room. BATTLE ALUMNIs @tasha.mp4 @djmargella @bidoisnz @eossimusic + @jawrs.dj and @noizfiend leading the pack and created their own brand @anythingbuthouse , smashing it out of the park with everything they’ve learnt from personal growth to marketing communications 🥹🥹 It makes me so happy when the Finalists actually band together as a tribe, support system beyond the battles. Battle judge @sharpsonmusic and guest judge @r3dxuk , @dave.columbo.jenkins @1.more.thing.uk supported us with an editorial feature for the winner once And even @3man_uk and @biglurkss who came into this picture because we hosted back2back DJ battle open decks a few moons ago at Hop King skatepark, and went full circle by meeting Jawrs+Noizfiend at the last few Faded open decks to joined forces. Of course shout outs to @positive_conuk who’s now my 2nd in charge in the management team for the Battles and my protégés in content 😂 Behind Con is a Yas @__yasm.i who’s the best sweetest support team I could have ever asked for Behind the mic always on cue is @josh.m_be who’s come to so many of the battles and part of the tribe. I stood in that room looking around thinking, this is what we mean by “creating your own momentum”. Who knows where these DJs and producers will be in a few years, the road is exciting, but what is special is that we all shared today. Anyways, so that’s me 2 cents. I just feel so proud my heart is bursting out of my chest so I needed to share it Love, Cat @fadedsocietyofficial #proudmama #djcommunity #djlife #undergroundscene #london
