Dear PV soccer,

I am forever grateful for the opportunities I received to play the sport I love at a higher level. College soccer was never a negotiable for me, I was going to make it no matter what. The recruiting process was never fun and was always stressful, but I remember the day that Prairie View was given to me as an option. The day I visited, I knew it was my home from the moment I stepped on campus. I’ve received nothing but a blanket of support and family from those around me.

Not many people know, but my collegiate career hasn’t exactly gone according to plan, lol. From the coach that recruited me leaving, to unsuccessful seasons. PV soccer has taught me many lessons in just 3 years. Patience, trust, discipline, control, communication. I’m sure there’s more, but the one thing that has stuck with me is self growth. I have grown more than ever since entering college and I look in the mirror and can truly say that I am proud of myself. I was put on this earth to fulfill my dreams and for me that means to keep improving and always move UP.

Throughout my time at PV, I’ve met a lot of new people. Soccer forces you to have relationships and connections with random girls you never thought you would meet, all through fate. If there’s one thing college soccer has taught me, it’s that not everyone is your cup of tea. Nevertheless, I found my perfect combination of sugar, cream, and syrup. My friends keep me grounded and in the right state of mind, clearly. This soccer team has brought me some great people. Kyla, Jada, Jayla, Jayden, Emely, and Brooklyn. A lifelong support system of people who know me for me, who have seen me at my highs and lows and in my corner to help me fight my battles and celebrate my victories. I will cherish the long talks, the early mornings, the treacherous bus rides, and all of the dinners.

My sister, Keeara, all I have to say is you are so welcome I somehow convinced you to transfer here, even with the situation at the time. Thank you for coming back to your twin and experiencing so many firsts together.

My family, I do it all for you. 🤟🏾

With that being said, I have entered the transfer portal with one year of eligibility.
