LIVE FROM SAN ANTONIO — IT’S DADURDAY NIGHT! Join the DNL Players the first Saturday of the month at The Little Improv Theater (home of ComedySportz San Antonio) for the funniest comedy + variety show in all of Texas. Expect top‑tier improvisers, comedians, musical guests, and surprises at this 10:00 PM, BYOB show. DNL returns Saturday, November 7th with guest hosts IMPROPIOS LATIN IMPROV and musical guest JUSTIN BOYSON! This show will sell out, so get your tickets now! *PLEASE NOTE: IMPROPIOS’ set will be completely in Spanish. - TICKET LINK IN BIO. IMPROPIOS LATIN IMPROV is an Austin-based comedy company founded in 2025 by Miki Vargas and Jonathan Colet. Bringing together Latin American talent, IMPROPIOS creates dynamic performances blending improv, clown, and comedy in both Spanish and English, connecting cultures through laughter. JUSTIN BOYSON is a singer-songwriter based in Jonestown, Texas, at the edge of the Hill Country he grew up in. After twenty years in Austin, including a stretch fronting a post-hardcore band, his music turned slower and more deliberate. Indie folk and Americana with lyrics that carry the density of poetry, and something restless underneath. The DNL PLAYERS are a powerhouse group of San Antonio improvisers: MY 4 DADS (four improvisers who - much like your own father - can take any suggestion and make it much, much worse), BACHELORS OF SCIENCE (the WEEKEND SCIENCE UPDATE anchors improvising the stories behind real science headlines they’ve never seen), and LINDSEY NAVE (hosting the delightfully absurd, Girl‑Scout‑approved interview segment THE COOKIE JAR WITH JILLIE). Catch Dadurday Night Live the first Saturday of every month (except January & July). Follow @my4dadsimprov or visit CSzSA.com for details.

Backstage stuff part 2! As part of rehearsal we play "5 Things" or "3 Things" (depending on time). We ask to list very Escandaloesque things to help us get into characters before a show. In this particular exercise we see Xochi's witty thoughts about her Mama. These exercises help us later to hear and apply audience suggestions to our show! Join us on Saturday August 29th at 8pm! Tix link in our bio and in the comments. Cast of Escándalo include @denisemtzr @cjrobles2.0 @neurogrid6 @allonsowhynot @sydneycabeza @lalunallena_atx @lauragalanwells Cindy Brio and featuring @3orlessmedia #austinimprov #improvisedtelenovelas #austintheater #improv #austincomedy 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹 Escándalo is a sponsored project of Austin Creative Alliance and part of the Artist Access Program, through the city of Austin’s Parks and Recreation Department, Division of Museums and Cultural Programs, and the Dougherty Arts Center 🎭

INNER PASSAGE. An immersive play showing at the nondescript @todosababa on Gaston Ave. HIGHLY recommended! . This is the second show I’ve seen penned by Colombian playwright Diego Fernando Montoya and I can understand why he’s an award winner. His lyrical writing style has a quiet confidence that allows him to take on heavy themes without being heavy-handed, and his poetic expressions survived translation to English, with the conscientious help of Aaron Zilbermann. . The performing cast consists of exactly ONE actor: Sorany Gutiérrez (also producer). She did a fantastic job creating tension by acting with understated resignation that carried the show’s message brilliantly. Yet another local actor I want to see perform many times over! . Challenging, thought-provoking, and honest without brutality. I’m really glad I got to experience this show and hope others get to do likewise. . The good pics were by Ben Torres. Go to the @todosababa profile for upcoming show info. . . . #theatre #supportlocalart #dallaslife #dfw #daily_beauty_project 2026-08-21.

In just one week, we're back at the @doughertyartscenter for another episode of passion, intrigue and "toxicas" 😏 As part of rehearsal we play "5 Things" or "3 Things" (depending on time). We ask to list very Escandaloesque things to help us get into characters before a show. It can be anything like "name 5 things you left at your exes that you want to get back" to "list 5 things you left at your exes on purposes so they'll have no choice but to call you". These exercises also help us later to hear and apply audience suggestions to our show. We can't wait to see you! Saturday August 29th at 8pm! Tix link in our bio and in the comments.
