THINKING THROUGH MATERIALITIES - Lecture Performance TEXTILE LANDSCAPES —ENG below— Hub des Sustainable Theater Lab | @ligetizentrum Hamburg | auf Einladung von Marlene Behrmann | 23.-27.6.2025 Wie lässt sich das globale Textilnetz auf der Bühne erzählen? Wo verlaufen globale Kleiderrouten? Konzept, Performance, Video, Kostüm: Marlene Behrmann und Louisa Schiedek @louschdek Bühne: rescene Musik: Simon Redfern @berlinmodularsociety @3rdpartyinfluence —ENG— Hub of the Sustainable Theater Lab | @ligetizentrum Hamburg | by invitation of Marlene Behrmann | June 23-27, 2025 How can the global textile network be told on stage? Where do global clothing routes run? What stories do our garments carry? And what remains when we take them off? What does the aesthetics of textile remnants tell us? Between body, clothing, consumption, and the question of colonial continuities, a poetic and political journey unfolds along the textile life cycle—from the cotton field to the landfill. Save the date for June 14: @90milradio presents Pollen—our 1st anniversary celebration, a festival brought to life by our broadcast community—and a first opportunity to experience our creative network in an immersive gathering. ///// Marking the passage of our first year of transmissions, the 90mil Radio network gathers for Pollen, a day-into-night festival programme with over 40 contributing international artists presenting in forms including sound art, live electronics, electroacoustic and audiovisual installations, avant-garde theatre, idiosyncratic music curation for deep listening sessions and dance floors, songwriting, and cinema. Pollen takes form as a multivalent exhibition showcasing the independent media arts community of Berlin. This convergence has been facilitated by the platform in which this constellation of creative microcosms intersects: 90mil Radio, a non-profit, independent internet radio broadcasting a programme of underrepresented, experimental and emergent sound formats from a station located near Jannowitzbrücke since June last year. This independent model has allowed the platform to foster creative work beyond the normative realm of Berlin’s cultural ecology–but in order to continue without public funding, the platform extends its focus to alternative and collaborative ideas in order to ensure a collective ability to thrive in a challenging set of current economic and cultural circumstances for the arts in Berlin. Thus, the 90mil Radio community invites all to Pollen, our 1st anniversary festival and fundraiser–so that we may continue transmitting and facilitating independent arts into the future. The daytime programme begins in the early afternoon with curated deep listening and live ambient sessions accompanied by workshops and vendors in the garden. Toward the evening, the venue will bloom with live music performances, theatrical works, screenings, and electronic arts of all forms across five spaces–by midnight, expect masterful live electronic music crafted with analog synthesizers and far-reaching, artful selections from our community of contributors into the early hours. June 14, 2025 Doors open at 14:00 @90mil___

Berlin Modular Society BMS1 took place on 22nd May 2021 back in different times. - But we’ve always been about coming together and creating welcoming, inclusive and exciting spaces - so it was great to mix with the Dutch Modulation community that’s been going for ten years! Looking forward to seeing everyone who can make it! Don’t forget, BMS53 DIY Kit Day is at Klunkerkranich on Sunday 11th May. So many modular choices! Picture credits: L.R.
