30/09/26 (1/2) - It really do get like dat. Incredible night, incredible people, incredible conversations. I love spaces like this that are open and accessible, artists and creatives and listeners all getting together and sharing their thoughts and ideas.

I also love Bloccstar, some really solid tunes and well fleshed out thoughts in it. Especially enjoyed Owner, Jangalova, Parable of a Skinnyman, These Days and Gets Like Dat. In my head the GRM Daily Invite Only track is a bonus one that i also find very moving.

14 young East Londoners (including myself) have been working with @vam_east to explore the story of how Black British Music has shaped British culture, developed in response to The Music Is Black exhibition. In collaboration with writer and artist DJ Elijah, and music journalist Laviea Thomas, we have been creating short form content, graphics, articles and collaborating on a zine to showcase our research and creative responses.

Join us to celebrate our work on Saturday 22 August 2pm-6pm as part of The Music is Black Festival from East Bank.

Taking place in the Park Gallery in the top floor of V&A East Museum :)
