This was very fun to make. Came face to face with a bear on this trip but my phone was dead so I couldn’t get the clip before I scared him off. Still one of the most action packed trips between the views, the cliffs, the fishing, the hiking, the river crossing, the rock climbing, the cliff jumping, the hitchhiking and the bear that was between 15-20ft away from me on a trail.

I squared off against a bear

Second time backpacking here but first time on the north side of it all. Stellar views, stargazing and other experiences as well as stellar people. Found a lot of spots to cliff jump and rock climb(50ft was the highest). Hitchhiked for the first time(shoutout Bill and his wife), and ran into a bear about 15 feet from me when I turned a corner on a trail(I didn’t have my bear spray or anything to use as a weapon on me atp). It skedaddled from sheer fear of me.
(Stood my ground and lost my voice from shouting at it). #cliffjumping #mountains #view #appalachia #backpackin
