Life as of now with @folkartsrarerecords and some @famoso_pato posting vibes December 2020. Joe Quijano covering “I Wish You Love”. The original version by Léo Chauliac and Charles Trent is also quite beautiful.

In January of 2017 we hosted a photography show curated by my good friend Dan Waldrop @danwal215 . Dan wanted to highlight the many years he has photographed the surf/punk band Creepy Creeps. The Creeps @thecreepycreeps have been jammin out in SD since the late 90’s and at the opening reception the Creeps came out to Chicano Beach and just amazed the large crowd playing all the Creeps songs in their Creepxotica versions. It was definitely a night for the books. *
This print that Dan has donated is from that show. All proceeds go to the Chicano Park Steering Committee. Thank you Dan for your donation ✊🏽 Thank you Creepy Creeps for still Rockin out! Can’t wait to catch the next show! #chicanopark #fundraiser #creepycreeps #creepxotica #photography

•JIMMY EAT WORLD•
*Your New Aesthetic*

Another one of my favorite tracks off the Clarity record. •

“Imitate and water down
Selection breathes on its own
Before the crash I'll write it out
Selection breathes on its own
Make them open the request line
Let selection kill the old
Take back the radio” •

The album, Clarity, by Jimmy Eat World was one of my all-time favorites back in 1999 and the early 2000s. I think many would agree that this album is a true work of art and something you can listen to from start to finish without ever skipping a track. •
•
Gaylord, Mike, Jason, and I are finally going to record and film (separately) some tracks and it only took many years and a pandemic to get us going. This is a sneak preview of the first song, CRUSH, by Jimmy Eat World. •

Stay tuned for the full version coming to YouTube soon. #jimmyeatworld #drumcover #drums #drummer #music #guitar #bass #rock #drumming #drum #musician #band #drummers #drumlife #livemusic #metal #percussion #jazz #piano #live #bateria #singer #drumset #musica #groove #vocals #drummersofinstagram #love #drummerlifestyle🎶👣

3/11/20 @golddiggersla *updated line up/time*
3/12/20 @whistlestopbar *POSTPONED* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ @alohagotsoul brings its tried-and-true tropical mix of boogie, disco, house and Hawaiian dancefloor gems to Los Angeles, March 11th‬ at @golddiggersla !
No cover | 21+ | 10pm

Joining the second installment of Soul Time in LA is Mamabear @mmmamabearrr the Sister of @sweaterfunk and host of The Honey Pot on @dublab along with surprise guest Funky Brewster @dtjordan1 whose deep crates have blessed both Sweater Funk and Soul Time events through the years.

As one of LA’s top devotees of boogie on wax, Mamabear’s eclectic experience as a selector and DJ (she developed her musical tastes spending nights in the roller rink, skating to funk and hip hop as well as hearing her parents’ New Wave collection) fits comfortably within the Soul Time vibe, where quality music and laid-back grooves heat up the dancefloor like the Hawaiian sun on a hot summer day.

San Diego — yes, it is true; we’ll catch you at a later date. Soul Time in SD at @whistlestopbar is postponed this time around. Traveling 2500 miles across the Pacific Ocean doesn’t seem like the greatest idea considering recent developments in travel restrictions and public health concerns. Rest assured we will see you soon!

LA — we’re moving forward with our Soul Time party at Gold Diggers featuring LA based and AGS resident @djvinyldon Mamabear & special guest Funky Brewster.

Presented by @23rdelevation
Community Support Provided by @guayaki
It’s going down at @golddiggersla from
10pm - 2am!
