Today let’s post some throwbacks to @lonestarroundup 2016. Kinda wild to think it’s been a decade since I’ve been to that show. Been in love with Austin since the first time we went in like 2006ish? It’s just doesn’t have the same vibe that it used to though. Always cool stuff down in Texas.

Then came Saturday.

As usual, the early morning drive to @woolaroc was chilly but beautiful, followed by a full day of sensory overload.

Finally got through some film for ya. I have to say I’m less excited with how they turned out than usual. Probably should’ve stuff to one film stock and maybe not shoot digital and film simultaneously all weekend lol. Still got some good ones. Just feel like the hit rate was down a bit. Still fun though. I’ll have more to share obviously. Still waiting on Black and White scans to come back.

Finally had a chance to download some of my images from the reliability run on Friday at the Gathering at the Roc. Being on the run and waiting on the side of the road for the cars to travel by, really got me excited about shooting my DSLR again. Not that I am ever lacking a love of photography, but sometimes things get stagnant and this event helped reignite the flame. Here is a sampling of the cars I caught moving along the route.

A few photos of my trip to the ROC. I was able to tell Mark how much of an influence his ‘32 gave me as a high school kid reading the article on his roadster. I was drooling over the Buick and wondering who built such a rad car when up comes Pat. I should have known he would be behind the wheel. The pink Ford was just a sweet ride. The one I missed getting a photo of was the cream Model a Cab. It looked just as good this weekend as it did over 30 years ago when I first saw it. It was great catching up with old friends and making new ones. See everyone next year!
