POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

As I touched on in my last post, I’ve been struggling lately with ✨overwhelm✨. Not only have I come away from social media but I also took a bit of a step back from my first baby, my business and extended my maternity leave.

I’m so so lucky that I am able to do this thanks to the absolute dream team of women who I work with (aka the LADs)

It’s meant that they’ve had to navigate one of our biggest jobs, pretty much without me this year… our Yarn Advent Calendar. LADvent as we call it.

It was launched on pre-order yesterday and it’s honestly AWESOME. The colours are amazing, the patterns are incredible and wait until you see the design of the calendar itself (yet to be revealed!)

You can find all the details on @laurenastondesignsstudio post - including the 10% discount code for today only! - and I’ll link to the preorder in my stories.

It’s available in 2 colour options - pinks or blues and every calendar comes with 8 exclusive patterns so you can knit up a storm.

WELL DONE TEAM LAD, you absolute legends!!! Thank you all so much 😭❤️ I’m so grateful xxx

Still can’t get over our Grand Opening yesterday.

Here’s some snippets of ✨OUR SHOP✨ (what?!?) and a very condensed thank you that I’ve been struggling to say without ugly crying and blubbing through it (like Rachel and Monica saying goodbye… IYKYK)

To my LADS- Sally, Claire, Helen, Charlotte, Chloe & Emma (our honorary LAD and flower witch)… I don’t know what I would do without you.

Thank you to each of you for playing such an integral part in this latest adventure. Honestly at this stage it’s not ‘I couldn’t have done it without you’ (which so obviously goes without saying 😂😂🫠) it’s ‘I wouldn’t WANT to have done any of it without every one of you’ - us all being a team is one of my greatest accomplishments and pulling this together is just one example of what we are capable of. Thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️ I love you so much!!! X

The biggest transformation yet at our shop and one that’s made SUCH an amazing difference!

The LADs and I pulled up all the carpet last week, every inch of it was glued to the floor 😅🙈 and then the wonderful @m2floorlaying came and laid this herringbone masterpiece for us 🔥

We’re aiming to open July 1st so pencil it into your calendars and please come admire/walk/roll on our floor with us! (There will be yarn and knitting stuff also) CANNOT WAIT TO WELCOME YOU IN!!! ❤️🧶💫

1st December.

Just hanging out, prioritising our pleasure above everything else that can wait a few hours. These women. This life. Fuck. It’s hard and messy and painful and horrendous and devastating. But then it’s joyous and big and whole and incredible and amazing. All the fucking feels right now, I don’t even know where to begin. Just grateful as hell I’ve got people I can share this flawed and fabulous life with, allowing me to show up as my most authentic self, and loving me for it, despite everything 💛

Pals, ✨𝙨𝙤𝙢𝙚 𝙣𝙚𝙬𝙨 ✨next month my family and I will be moving away from Devon for my husband Alex’s job.

LAD will be staying in Devon where it was born and Team LAD will be running it as usual. We’re hoping to get our new studio (AND SHOP!) at Exeter quay in the new year and the team will be running it, with me working remotely and travelling down as often as I can.

I know the business will continue to run smoothly without me (let’s face it, it’s very likely to run even smoother with me out the way 😂) and we wouldn’t have contemplated moving if we didn’t wholeheartedly believe that.

I also know that we’re making the right decision for our family and that we’re about to have another adventure, but I’m not going to pretend it’s been an easy decision to come to terms with.

My heart aches at the thought of not being surrounded by these unbelievable women everyday. They are my other family, I love the bones of them and trust them with my business, which is honestly the greatest gift they could give me.

This is both an ending and a beginning and that comes with so many different emotions, the good, the bad and everything in between (Dear therapist, here’s all my money. Thx)

I’m so incredibly privileged to have these LADs in my life and my business and know that they’ll do an amazing job… I’m just so sad to not be there with them, laughing till we wee and crying till we laugh, everyday… I’m so lucky that my job has looked like that for the last 6 years, what an absolute honour it’s been!

And whilst there’s some *serious* sadness, I’m so excited to see what we can achieve next. There’s simply no stopping us! A few counties can keep us apart 😜💪🏼🫶🏼

So let’s celebrate 🎉 We’re having one last open day while everything still feels normal at our HQ in Topsham, Devon. So if you can make it on Saturday we’d LOVE for you to join us ~ Details in my stories.

I’m planning on being tipsy the entire day and eating brownies for every meal. There’ll be knitting, chatting, hugging and laughing. Everyone is welcome and we’ll make you feel at home, I promise.

Take care m’darlins ❤️❤️❤️

It’s all a bit quiet in the studio at the moment so we took advantage and went to the beach for a dip & a knit and thought you might like to join us…

Day 31: Looking Forward

We’ve really enjoyed introducing you to our business this month, thanks so much for supporting and engaging with us while we shared ❤️ The final prompt is ‘looking forward’ so naturally we took this ridiculous picture and OH how we laughed.

We’re looking forward and loving what we’re seeing (literally… hello @chloeuptonstudio 📸 😍and figuratively 🧶) I’ve no idea what we’ll be getting up to but I’m excited to continue to share our adventures with you (in a less regimented way 😰😜❤️)

Happy March LADs! ❤️❤️
