The 4Him Song That Reached No. 1 Before They Left Truth

Their first single reached No. 1 and remained there for eight weeks—but the four singers were still traveling with Truth.

Before Andy Chrisman, Mark Harris, Marty Magehee, and Kirk Sullivan officially began their new chapter as 4Him, Christian radio had already discovered their unmistakable sound.

Welcome to Your Daily Spiritual Journey — Year One • Day Nine.

Today we PRAY for the strength to release hurt and forgive, READ Genesis 2 and the account of God breathing life into humanity, and GROW by considering why good works still matter when salvation is freely given by grace.

We then WORSHIP with “Show Us Your Mercy, O Lord,” LISTEN to Splintered Cross reflect on a missed relationship in “I Wish We’d Been Friends,” and revisit 4Him’s encouraging “Where There Is Faith” for CCM MEMORIES.

Experience the complete six-part journey on the @YourDailySpiritualJourney on @YouTube channel.

#throwbackthursday to this @ccmmag cover shoot for the My Utmost For His Highest record.

I remember feeling so strange being amongst these giants of music as we gathered at the Ryman for the photo. Amy and Gary were so gracious, the @4himstagram guys were always so fun, and of course @mwsmithofficial was and is such a thoughtful and encouraging person. Twila Paris was just the way you might imagine: sweet and kind. @pcdguys were always a blast to be around.

Love all of these folks and a special shoutout to Loren Balman who dreamed up the idea of creating a record to accompany such an amazing book My Utmost for His Highest.

My favorite song from this project? Man After Your Own Heart by @garychapmansingersongwriter

Thanks @ccmmag for featuring us!

#throwbackthursday I remember all of us gathering for this @gmadoveawards photo in 1993.

Susan Ashton had been opening for the first leg of The Great Adventure Tour and I was taking over to open for the second leg of the tour.
@stevencurtischapman was (and is) the sweetest human alive.

So many incredible voices and songs in this photo! @4himstagram @susanashton @brucecmusic @menglish1962 and more!
